How to adjust flame size of stovetop's pilot lights on a vintage stove

This is our 1940s Wedgewood. Note that if you look carefully the right side actually left a black burn mark on the edge of the griddle from the pilot light being too large on that side for a couple of years. It would also burn us if we touched the stovetop there even with burners off, unlike the left side which had a smaller flame.

    One of my jobs is part time in the kitchen of a nightclub and half the pilot light flames were torches and the other half were barely staying lit. Extremely helpful! 👍

    OMG it's 3 am been dealing with my giant flame for years on my 1986 Tappan I keep cleaning blackened outlet but afraid of FIRE I finally found you I will look for screw tomorrow and let you know if you check this
