There’s a brass orifice in the bottom of that center hole and they make orifice cleaning wire rods that will clean that up they get food particles and different things in them that’ll bring your gas volume back up :-)

"try to remove any debbrios that is in the hole" 4:58 He is scrubbing the (removable) jet/gas orifice. 'Any debris' he might remove is likely to fall down (gravity, don't ya know) into the gas line. Better to remove each jet/orifice, clean them thorougly and repece them. Reminding us all that - just because you watched someone do it on KZread does not mean it is the RIGHT way to approach or perform the task.

Mine was the hole that let the gas out was clogged. I use a toothpick and it works but let you said toothpick is not going to be a good choice. I will try to use a metal rod next time.

Mine is like yours, it clicks and the flame lights, but with the burner off, I’ve been smelling gas leaking, what would cause that? I called the gas company and the guy said it was ok, no he didn’t check the burners, so I bought a gas leak detection thing and tested that burner 3 times, 4 red lights and alarm went off. The other burners are ok.

CALL THE GAS COMPANY AGAIN... they have to come inside and check and also have a tester to show if it detects GAS!!!

My right front burner won't light. Clicks and sparks, but won't light. Won't even light when I put a flame to it with a long grill lighter. All others work fine, and will also light when hit with an external flame from the grill lighter. My burners do not have that brass jet, just an approximately 1/2" tube that the gas comes up from beneath the stove top. Also, my spreader piece does not have a small pin hole like most others I've seen in other videos and online repair forums. Spreader looks close to the one in this video. The gas collects under the cap and finds it's way to the spark igniter thru the slots on the spreader. Hopefully I'm making sense...? Any idea of what I should do to troubleshoot this? All other burners, if I remove the cap and just turn to full (without lighting) I can physically feel gas coming up from the ports. On the right front, I feel nothing. Barely even a smell of gas. I smell it, but not strong like the others. You seem to know what you're doing, so hopefully you can help shed some light for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ADVICE? GET HELP.. a GAS stove is not something to play with.. you could easily blow your house up.. MOST Local GAS companies will come into the house and look at a GAS appliance and try to light a pilot light.. they might even offer to fix it for a price.. if not, hire a repair person -- it might be a bad burner or the stove might need to be replaced.. I think paying $100 for help in person is worth it - dont let anything blow up in your face or destroy your house.. don't mess with gas if you do not know what you are doing

@@LEARNINGCHORDS Fixed it immediately after posting my question. Gas jet on mine is built right into the knob/valve. The venturi pipe that slides over that came dislodged, probably when I moved the range to clean behind and on side of it. Just slid the venturi back into place and secured it so it wouldn't move again. I'm not stupid enough to blow up my house. If I feel something is out of my grasp, I ask for help, or do tons of research instead of just being dumb and hacking away. This is especially true when it invloves gas or electrical wiring. This was an easy fix, luckily. Also secured the loose control board while I had things apart. Used to push buttons for oven controls, and the board felt like it was going to fall out. Clips just got bent out of shape. Good as new now. Thanks. And thanks for telling people to be careful. Yeah, I've seen some hacks at work messing with stuff they shouldn't be messing with, and seen bad things happen because of it. I installed this range in 2007 and haven't blown anything up yet. Lol
