I hope you enjoy this compilation of Hotel Skits! I gotta let you in on a secret... I've been moving these last couple weeks! That's the main reason I'm posting another compilation, but I can't wait to start filming more in my new setup! 🥰
If you have a story of your experiences working at hotels, or just in customer service in general, please share it with me! I may even make a skit out of it! 😉

A hotel I stayed in for a conference had a two-story atrium for the lobby with rooms lining the balcony of the second story and a large restaurant and bar occupying much of the first floor. I'm sorry, but that was MOST CERTAINLY a flaw in hotel design, as evidenced by the two other guests, in addition to me, who requested to change rooms. I didn't demand, and I was happy to wait until the following day to move, although I did ask if they had earplugs, and they comped me some from the sundries area.

I’ve been in a hotel similar to that. It’s been demolished since then for completely unrelated reasons. It was fine, but you also couldn’t go wild and crazy in it at night. The atrium area also wasn’t taken mostly over by a huge restaurant and bar. There was a small bar, but it was mainly a central lounge area. The front desk also wasn’t in that area.

I can totally understand how the guest arrived a month early. Many countries write (example) 9/8 to mean the 9th day of August, while the US considers this to be September 8th. The fault here is with the team that put together the website. Typically, unaware of international differences, they think using mm/dd/yyyy is acceptable while unwittingly creating problems. Working internationally, the solution is to use a format like 08-Sep-2024 thus to room for misunderstanding.

The well prepared coach with well a behaved sports team made my heart flutter a bit too. Sports teams or students are usually terrible when at the hotel I work at. I have had a football team playing touch football in the lobby. I've had a hockey team playing hockey in the hallways. And I have had a group of mixed sports teams running a multi-floor relay race through every floor of a 5 floor hotel. This was on the overnight shift. I have no idea what the day shift let them get away with. All of these instances the chaperones were drinking and playing cards in a room or another part of the lobby as they let the children run wild.

Since this video is by someone who said they worked for Disney and these are a bunch of high schoolers with a coach this is probably inspired by the chearleading competition they have in Orlando in the first week of December. I did a lot of research when I wanted to show my parents Disney in December so one of the things I found out is don't book the first week of December if large groups of teens wandering around would bother you.

Oh, if only all coaches we get here were like this one. Or hell, ANY coaches.... Just this past weekend, we had a youth hockey team (around 10-12 year olds) from a neighbouring town ("neighbouring" being a relative term up this way, but I digress) staying with us. As children in large groups with minimal supervision tend to do, they were a bit rambunctious, shouting at each other and running up and down the hallways. It got to the point where less than an hour into my audit shift on Saturday, two separate guests told me that if I couldn't get the kids to quiet down, they were going to call the police. I told this to the chaperones, who said that their kids were good, and it must be some other team. (Spoiler alert: *there WERE no other teams in the hotel*.) To their credit, though, they did manage to get the kids to settle in by midnight. About a half an hour before the officer showed up....
