Lyrics
I've had enough of danger
And people on the streets
I'm looking out for angels
Just trying to find some peace
Now I think it's time
That you let me know
So if you love me
Say you love me
But if you don't
Just let me go...
'Cause teacher
There are things that I don't want to learn
And the last one I had
Made me cry
So I don't want to learn to
Hold you, touch you
Think that you're mine
Because it ain't no joy
For an uptown boy
Whose teacher has told him goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
When you were just a stranger
And I was at your feet
I didn't feel the danger
Now I feel the heat
That look in your eyes
Telling me No
So you think that you love me
Know that you need me
I wrote the song, I know it's wrong
Just let me go..."

I too used to listen to certain music during my "black hole" years. Ultimately psychotherapy and later medication pulled me back to the life I had left. Now, age 77, all's well. So don't ever give up; there is help - you just have to ask for it.

I’m struggling too. Sometimes I mention how much I’m hurting , been hurting for years, and someone replies, sometimes no one notices but it’s ok. This music keeps me alive, it talks to me, it’s spiritual. I get to escape and go back in time with my music. I live in a different reality in my head, it’s a world where I’m loved and not alone and I get to love others and there’s no rules or boundaries, we all get to love each other, in peace, with God. Sending love to you. -j

This song got me through so many dark times as a child. I would listen to it over and over on my walkman at night not really understanding what it was about but the emotion in George's stirred something in my soul. 2024..still listening to this beautiful man and voice. Miss and love you George. R.I.P.
Georges Michael a une voix tellement exceptionnelle, qu il aurait pu chanter dans une cathédrale. J'espère qu'il le fait dans celle du paradis
One of the best voices of all time. The only one that can sing Queen songs close to Freddy Mercury.

His cover of Somebody To Love was probably the best cover of Freddie I've heard, and it's not because he could hit his notes or anything like that. It's because he was class, as he always was.

I was very fortunate to have grown up in the 80s and 90s with a lot of great singers... Chris Cornell.. Layne Staley ect.. but I have to say George Michael is in a league of his own. Effortless power in his voice.
This song…I loved it when I was a kid because it was cool…30 years later, I felt the lyrics on a whole different level. This song still hits different now…I love it. May George Micheal rest in peace

Amazing vocalist, songwriter and every word delivered with such emotion and perfection! We were blessed to have such amazing artists in the form of George Michael, MJ and Prince in the 80s at the same time dominating the music charts. All sadly gone way too soon but none of them forgotten! Their music will live on long after we have all joined them!

RIP George M ! We Love You and Still Listen To Your Music! 🫶🏼 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My heart is really aching right now! I just turned 18, but I'm so obsessed with 80s and 90s music. Up until recently (for me personally), Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross were the best vocalist out of the 80s. But I discovered George Michael this year thanks to Mariah Carey's cover of this song... I was literally just becoming so obsessed with this man. For the past few weeks I started watching all of his videos and learning his songs.... including the stuff from his Wham! days... I was even brave enough to play his music for the first time in the car with other people...literally the day before he died. As an inspiring singer-songwriter, he had become one of the only male vocalists and writers who really inspired me. I just knew that I'd get the chance to tell him how much he meant to me. His artistry was unbelievable! I even recently uploaded my cover of this very song! I hope I did him true justice. #RIPGeorgeMichael

A month and a half has past since your death George and I am still sad..my heart is heavy..very heavy... You were such a GIFT to us.. I am so blessed to have grown up with your music, falling in love with your voice and charm at age 13..winning the FAITH album from a local radio station was one of my most cherished possesions. I will never stop playing your music. You became my favorite male recording artist of the past 30 years. More than Michael Jackson, Prince, Sting, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen and Peter Gabriel. Your music was there with me through the good and bad times.. through the celebrations and heartbreak. Thank you for your contribution to the world. You are greatly MISSED. *** We'll always love you***
