Nasci em 75, uma época fantástica!

A primeira vez q escutei essa música foi no seriado ''Arquivo Morto'', cara.. foi como se uma bomba de sentimentos e pensamentos tivesse explodido dentro de mim, me apaixonei na primeira escutada, depois passei a encontrala na Antena1 e era sempre a mesma reação. Só quem tem sangue azul curti essas músicas anos 80 e 90, o tempo parece nunca passar para elas, nunca saem de moda eternizaram no tempo. Ultimamente tenho evitado escutar essas músicas, é um veneno quando se estar solteiro muito tempo rsrsr. Queria poder retroceder para os anos 80, como era maravilhoso, qui época boa gente!!!!! É um espetáculo de música.👏👌👏👌

How come people don't talk about Tears for Fears in same breath as The Police, Duran Duran etc. is beyond me coz not only they are extraordinary musicians (and Roland a gr8 lyricist) but the best band out of the New wave, second britinvasion of the 80s music and miles ahead of all the other acts from that era (including the ones aforementioned) whose music, melodies and lyrics still strike and resonate. I hope one day they will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Que reflexão boa, moço! Já faz um tempo onde, cada vez mais, essa música tem me feito refletir sobre a vida como um todo, principalmente no que diz respeito à frase: Quem somos diante de determinadas situações? Esse clipe passa mensagens tão profundas que parece que a cada nova exibição, novas perspectivas aparecem. Para mim, sempre foi clara a questão de que ambos no clipe passam por problemas, mas claro, sem reduzir o fato de que a mulher é a que mais sofre..... Mas sabe o que é mais triste? A partir dos 2:58 a trama se intensifica e mostra a nuance de que o homem em determinado momento se arrepende do que fez, sendo acolhido de forma muito doce nos braços da mulher. Mas daí vem a pergunta chave: Por que machuca? Por que ataca, invalida, maltrata, menospreza, objetifica e faz tantas outras coisas em uma relação onde caberia somente amor, entrega e reciprocidade? O resultado dessa falta de controle é, no fim, ele acabar sozinho e ser um risco para as demais com quem ele se envolver... e essa mensagem nunca tão atual, em uma geração que anseia por amores eternos mas está disposta a dar somente amores líquidos e findáveis. One of my favourite songs of the 1980's. I love everything about this song from Oleta Adams on vocals, to Phil Collins on drums. I could never understand why this never got to number one in the UK charts.

This song is worthy of every tear that rolls out down my face! The running man in the video represents every man running for answers to all shortcomings and frustrations that he may ever face. As for girl, the dancing woman represents every woman trying to escape all personal dramas and also try to find the real meaning for her life! In the end, both of them suffer a lot with their own personal and insurmountable problems! Superb and eternal music for my life !

The song is deeply personal to Roland as he grew up with abuse. His father was abusive to his mother and felt like he couldn't do anything about it since was then very young.
