Full Live Stream - The Duel | 2023 Rogue Invitational

Спорт

Complete coverage of the The Duel, the 5th and Final Event from the Strongman Competition at the 2023 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas (Saturday, October 28).
This Strongman Sandbag Medley event (325LB, 350LB, and 375LB) would ultimately decide the winner of this year's slightly abbreviated competition (a sixth event was canceled due to weather). With yet another title on the line, the crazily consistent Mitchell Hooper could afford zero missteps if he hoped to hold off Tom Stoltman, who trailed him by just 3 points heading into this challenge. In the end, there was no letdown from either man, as the Dell Diamond crowd got the showdown they deserved, as well as a brand new Rogue Invitational Strongman champion.
You can follow more of the 2023 Rogue Invitational, including live streams, leaderboards, and full event schedules at www.roguefitness.com/invitati...

@@ChrisKeen-is5so 1. Wrong that’s not what Giants Live pays currently 2. Who cares? Because Rogue pays they can do a shittier show? 3. I seem to have seen Tom and Mitch competing at Giants Live last week. 4. Giants Live had the largest payout ever for a one day show a week ago. 5. Payout doesn’t make a show. If payout mattered we’d still be watching World’s Ultimate Strongman. 6. If WSM amd Arnold pay less than Rogue this year (very possible) does that make Rogue the best show? Or even a decent show? 7. High paying shows of low quality - eg Ultimate Strongman - do not help the sport. They hurt it by not respecting the sport and lowering standards. That’s why they don’t last. 8. This is why the Shaw Classic was an instant success. It pays enough - not the best - but it’s a high quality show for athletes and fans. Over time the Shaw Classic and Giants Live will pay out more and more if you’re into that…9. You need to modernize your perspective. Prize money isn’t how you make money in strongman. Social media, sponsors, product lines etc are how you make money.

I don’t understand why on the Rogues leaderboard they have Tom Stoltman winning that event, I’ve watched it over and over again at x.25 and Mitch wins albeit by milliseconds yet on the leaderboard it’s Tom who came first and Mitch second. It doesn’t change the overall outcome but this year’s event has been a shambles. The height they were pulling from on the tower was different to what they had all trained at, the bull pull was dangerous (we saw Trey get badly injured) they introduced a rope when no-one had trained for it and the weight was heavier, the Rogueacoatser was good, then rather than a medley we went to log lift for reps at too light a weight (should have been 170k) the axle lift was cancelled as deemed to dangerous, yet why couldn’t that have been done inside the concourse like the other events and then the duel no longer became a duel it was just a sandbag race (bloody heavy), but the idea was that they were to have to run it 3 times 10 (9) down to 5 then 5 down to 2 then 2 fight it out for the win. Congratulations to Mitch he did what he always does and is consistently fighting for top 3, deserved the overall win. Tom was on a charge after day 1 and came a close second. I think these 2 will go back and forth for years to come, there is nothing between them IMO the 2 strongest men in the world right now by quite a distance

So Hooper won the whole shitshow by 2 points! If there had been 6 events as planned Tom would've made up that difference, and/or if theyd kept the Fingals in...handy for Hooper that hes not great at the fingers and Tom is one of the best. The whole thing stinks. Worst organised strongman show i can ever remember watching.

This event feels like something scrambled in a hurry to get over with the SM part of the Invitational, lots of things gone wrong, it is not fair for the competitors also to cancel one event without offsetting it with another, congrats to Mitch, but who else agrees SM challenges scoring results must change, giving more weight to event winners?? it is not first time we see someone never won an event or won only one gets the whole thing in the end, winning an event must count big so we see more fierce competition and some hope for the ones lagging behind instead of just signing out of duty last 2 events

3 out of 4 athletes jumped the start in heat 1! Also, this event sucked as it was too short and not a real test of strength. Usually I really enjoy the Rogue Invitational Strongman but this year there were too many problems for it to be considered a legitimate competition.

It’s just a filler contest at what is essential,y an expo anyway. And for the CrossFit haters who hate it getting any attention, CrossFit gets three times the views of strongman here. Maybe we should be grateful to be a part of their show and audience rather than hating on them just because we’re not into CrossFit. Let’s all grow up a bit.
