FUEL: Champion Weightlifter Morghan King Lifts Double Her Own Bodyweight

Ойын-сауық

In this episode of FUEL, we follow weightlifting champion Morghan King during her six-day-a-week routine of consuming clean proteins and vegetables to ensure her competitive status at the 2015 World Championships and beyond. At a 105-pound competing weight, she is one of only a handful of women on this planet who can "clean-and-jerk" more than double their body weight. We’d like to see you try that.

In the old system of weightlifting and some systems now, if an athlete doesn't make it to intercontinental competition but is still good enough to be a high ranking continent champion or a champion of their country, since all athletes don't go to all comps, the country directs their studies to being a coach rather a better athlete.

***** Well the idea of crossfit is to be functionally fit I guess and there is nothing wrong with that. In the events they are tested to do movements fast or how much reps they can do etc., but the judging is always off/unprofessional, resulting in people compromising form trying to get a better result. Basically crossfit is hated because crossfitters tend to have very bad form and even the coaches sometimes either teach bad form, or just don't correct it. Also they tend to test max sets and 1 rep maxes in a reckless manner. In the example she said of her first day of crossfit they had everyone do a max set squat, which is dangerous with bad form and definitely not something anyone should do when they just started working out! In my opinion crossfit isn't inherently bad, just make sure you are exercising with correct form.
