And...it would've been cool to hear the amp wit the gain switch in without the Duality as well ;) Nonetheless, the reason I didn't buy a Runt was because of the lack of gain (for me) and I'm not a boost pedal guy but I still liked the overall tone. But with the Hot Mod...now it's reallyyy tempting haha

Btw, I jam on the drums to your riffs.,while constant playing my drums. I loop them. I do that with Reza also. Ola....nope, only in the mix with me & Glen Benton., you heard that right. I like these newer riffage's. You're a solid rhythm guitarist. Btw, a 'dorky' wearing glasses with those guns..? You've officially been disqualified from any nerdy'. I consider you a dependable solid beast.

    Thanks again Kyle for a great demo and explanation of your setup with the hotmod.. Do you recommend any amps that do the classic rock, and 90s grunge/metal thing really well that can also do brutal metal? I'm not so much a modern metal guy although I love bands like Slipknot and Deftones. I like a really warm, thick metal, similar to the Bogner Uber or Archon 100, but something that can do those heavy tones but also the darker 90s rock and metal with great singing leads? Have you come across any? The Runt sounds great but not sure it's quite my thing. Anyway, thank you brother!

  • @LegendaryTones

    @LegendaryTones

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Blacktarprophecies I know the JJ Jr. and Runt 50 and a few others use reverse wired versions. You may want to try it in your 100 and see. NO harm will occur with the Evo version of the Hot Mod V2 because of how the heater wiring is attached, etc. Anyhow, it will either “see” and make the connection or it won’t. So try it in likely the V3 position in that amp (and then V2 for good measure to check if it doesn’t work the first time). I just had a chat with Dave F. recently and he confirmed the HMV2E will work in nearly all of his circuits. Oh, one last thing - I’m not sure when you ordered your HMV2E for your 2203x, but check the left tube (when the switch side is facing you) as we now put in an ECC81. We find it enables the amp to clean up MUCH more smoothly and naturally when you roll your guitar volume control back, while still giving you all the gain still when you roll it back up.
