I highly recommend this runt 50 to myself.

PCB construction doesn’t necessarily mean “bad.” In the hands of a proper engineer, they are just as good as p2p.

I’ve owned the BE100, Wildwood Small Box, two regular Small Boxes, two Pink Tacos and the Runt 50. The Runt 50 was the best and most usable for me personally. It’s became my #1 amp. I still have a Small Box that as use for a slave power amp for my stereo rig. Sounds amazing.

Could this clean channel serve for some classic Fender-ish 60s rock? Even surf type stuff? Definitely sounds chimey enough for this type of thing. Not too middy or thick.

Once again I'm back to your videos for advice 😂. I got a Pink Taco and love it but it really needs a presence control. I want a 2 channel now for clean / drive. I was thinking about Runt 50, Small Box or something like that. Any suggestions? I play from classic rock to EVH , 80s metal , Metallica etc. Cheers man!

I am also a Friedman runt 50 W combo user however, after 5 1/2 years of gigging with the combo, I am looking to either buy a 50 white runt head only because I want the speaker outs that are not on the combo. It just offers a few more options, however I do have to say the combo has been great and I also spent almost $4000 on the BET and truthfully the run out class is it all day long the only other app that I have bought from Friedman that I even thought was worth keeping besides the 50 W runt was the new JEL and I actually might upgrade to the hundred watt version of that for gigging too. I wish it came in 50 it’s an excellent fantastic amplifier and when you combine it with this although you’ve got a modified 800 circuit and it the channel one on the JEL Friedman app is fantastic. It really gives you the complete realm because it is a super lead between it and the runt you truly cannot go wrong both just fantastic amps, but Friedman is truly heads above the rest I just think he could focus on amps more around this price range or lower that circuitboard or printed board as people call it is thicker than any I have ever seen before in any other app. People are wasting money on amps every day the sample last year the rest of your life if you care for it properly, I can’t imagine anything breaking that could not be fixed for a reasonable price it is a solid investment. Thank you for a great review. I would truly love to hear it if you have other recommendations since I have the combo rather than just switching to the head but since I’m gigging quite a bit more I just think the combo and the 2 x 12 with a head or 4 x 12 exactly my point I can go from a quarter half or full stack with the head. You can’t do that with the combo either way. Thanks again for a great demo, I mean this app is built right where all the other Friedman amps are built in the boutique amp shop and LA in the USA you can’t beat it

I think the only reason it's cheaper is because it's made in China.
