100 percent this is NOT the Wolverine from Logan. This is probably a universe where Wolverine got the X-Men killed or was tricked into killing him. Nowhere in Logan was it implied that Logan killed the X-Men. He was just the only one that could survive Charles seizures.

Not "Logan" specifically, himself. Additionally, I was literally speaking of how comic book movies ret-con all of the time with "non-specific" explainers and "off-screen" deaths. As I mentioned, they are literally well known for that very thing. "Logan" is no different than any other movie assuming you are "smart anough to figure it out." My entire statement is still true. To Robs comment about no story. This isn't a normal movie, it's unprecedented crossover of 3 different universes with a legacy character from 24 year ago and a 4th wall breaking character from another teaming up to join the mcu. Therefore the risk is extremely high so the main thing they had to focus on in the trailer was the TONE of the film to relieve fans worries that it won't work/gel. Now having seen the trailer any fears I had have been dispelled and I have complete confidence.

Correction: It was Charles that killed the X-Men in the movie Logan. In the comic "Old Man Logan" it was a Logan who was tricked by Mysterio who did. This Logan/Wolverine is definitely not the one from the movie Logan. It wouldn't work in continuity. Yes, he seems to be having a couple issues (claws), but doesn't seem to have the adamantium poisoning yet.

When Logan puts on the yellow suit I need Deadpool to say “Ketchup and Mustard together at last” 😭😭😭

Fox’s X-men timeline was all over the place so realistically this could be the one from The Wolverine from he’s younger look. For all we know it could just be a Wolverine we’ve never met

What I got from 'Logan' was that Charles killed the X-Men, he literally says before his death that he doesnt deserve the great night they had, that he did something...etc etc. Logan was the only one that survived because of his powers.

No, Marvel has shown second and third act shots in trailers before, and we all think it's "the first 20 minutes." I doubt this whole trailer is from the first act.

How in god's earth does John think this is Logan's character from the trailer 😂. It's 100% a variant. They do not want to mess with Mangold's Logan at all. And that's exactly how it should be.

I'm actually glad that they gave us setup and that is it. I DON'T want to know what the movie is about. The crow reboot, played the whole movie for you in their trailer. Every single point you needed to know that story of the Crow is in that trailer. Here, they just teased us, and I loved it! Getting to see Hugh Jackman use the language he's wanted to use for Wolverine, getting to see Deadpool and Wolverine share a scene together. I'm all for it. I can not wait for this film to come out. Honestly the last movie I was this hyped about was D&D Honor Amongst Thieves. I loved that movie, and so far Deadpool has not disappointed.

Also, Logan killed the X-Men in the Old Man Logan comic (due to Mysterio), in the Logan movie it was Prof X that had killed them (due to his failing mind).

It’s nice to hear a trailer that is making online community happy, haven’t watched as trailer isn’t for me (they’ve already got my money) but sounds great!

Theory: The TVA gives Wolverine his cowl. Just like how they suited up Deadpool before he went to the void.

I don't think this is the same Logan from the movie "Logan" as there weren't many people who knew Logan was Wolverine but in Deadpool 3 it seems like people widely knew him and blamed him for something.

Did this guy watch Logan? lol Charles had a seizure and took out the X-Men. The only one who could withstand the force was Wolverine.

I really wish we could’ve had Jon Schnepp’s take on this trailer.

@14:53 Pause at that moment and take a good look at Wolvie's eyes. He is tearful, as he leans into the barrel of that gun and smiles. He is in this moment a defeated man, and is HOPING 'Pool will take that shot. I bet you $100 this ends up actually being a very depressing scene in the movie. Wade will try to keep up the mood with his usual antics, but Logan is a broken man here. I really hope they do some jump-cuts (😉) of Logan **spoilers** laying his neck over the railroad track sometime before he showed up in this bar. That is the one scene, the aftermath of the death of the X-Men from Old Man Logan, that was missing from the LOGAN movie that should have been there.

Why does this trailer confirm this is Logan Wolverine, if anything it does the opposite

I know, right? First, when Wolverine says, "Not my problem", Deadpool responds with "Is that what you said when your world went to sh*t?" Second, Paradox says, "This Wolverine let down his entire world." Third, when Deadpool shows him a picture and says, "You know all about saving worlds", I get the feeling it's a picture from another universe, maybe the universe we're familiar with. Anyways, all of that blah blah to say, I agree with you. LFG!

I’ve seen a lot of people say "Endgame was the last great Marvel movie Far from home was the epilogue" "no wait NWH was the epilogue, no Guardians 3 will be the last great Marvel movie we’ll ever see, no Deadpool 3 will be my last Marvel movie". No it won’t. Anybody who says these things should not to be taken seriously cause they always comeback, they constantly move the goalpost. The same is going to happen with Spider-Man 4

Agreed. People say the TV shows are proving hero fatigue. I disagree. The TV shows prove not everything works 100% of the time, which we all knew to begin with. People seem to think everything created needs to be 100% awesome, 100% of the time. If not, this means it was never a "good thing" to begin with and is all "bad" by proxy. So many folks are so jaded nowadays. Many forgot to simply have fun apparently, honestly.

I think it's pretty clear that since endgame there has been no clear vision of where the universe is going, even though there's been some ok movies along the way(ie. Spiderman, Shang Chi, Guardians 3 , Black Panther) , I hope Deadpool 3 is amazing. I'm rooting for Marvel, but I've been woefully underwhelmed since endgame personally.

only thing im mildly bummed about is that Vanessa & Wade broke up. Their relationship was a strong point. Also...Dominoe should have been at his birthday party. beyond that. cant wait

I quite like that I don't know too much about this film. I think my expectations can remain in check because of that. I don't really know what to expect. I'm looking forward to seeing the characters together, and I feel like that's a good foundation to go in with.

I’m finally excited about a marvel movie. I have not felt this way since no way home. I might actually watch the Marvel shows just so I can be ready for this movie.

Several people assume this. Especially since it is multiverse entaled and the opening is literally the same as Logan and the Wolverine video game. This very well could be the "Logan" from the "Logan" movie. Just from a different time of said "time-period/universe."

I cannot wait to see this one! I'll be there opening weekend with my husband and son. 🙂

The scene that i liked a lot was when logan was in some kind of field in a white t shirt lookin all sad. I feel like we need some drama or emotional beats to cut all the humor and that scene looks like it could be deep

Exactly. They're not going to undo the dramatic ending of Logan, or the happy ending of the mainline X-Men Logan. This is going to be another version.

I thought this trailer proved the total opposite of ur logan theory. Especially since they said they're leaving thst timeline alone... the tombstone scene in the trailers shows a younger logan when all his freinds died and in logan they died not that long b4 that movie (maybe 5 or 10 years max).. so idk how u got that this is the same character from logan.unless I'm missing or forgetting something. If I remember correctly it was confIrm3d that charles killed the whole team during one of his seizures..am I tripping?? Or is John tripping?

Deadpool and Wolverine should be 3 hours long.

When Deadpool and Wolverine jump towards the portal, it's looks like Cassandra Nova is behind them watching them go. That makes me almost wonder if maybe she is a 'villain for Logan himself' and whatever happened to his world in between the Fox movies, but she may not be a main antagonist for THIS movie. Maybe she has some hand in getting them out of the Void and back into the main universe or something. Maybe through the Antman Cerebro she contacts or controls someone to make the portal for them...?

When you look into the gun, you can see the text "SMILE WAIT FOR THE FLASH", so Logan just smiled :)

I think the portal is a variant of Ned with the sling ring. It would actually be hilarious if you think about it.

Deadpool 3 makes a billion dollars without a doubt. this movie has Deadpool, which is the best thing that fox ever made with the X-Men rights aside from Logan, we have a return of Hugh Jackman who has been the Wolverine for multiple generations, and what looks like to be a return to form of a quality MCU film.
