Lovely to see you back. 2023 is a similar year for me and hence the irregular posting but like you I find that Booktube gets me motivated to. The lost library sounds fab.

Hi Debra. It's lovely to see you, I was so happy to have a video of yours in my feed this morning. I have also been reading very slowly this summer. I keep changing my mind about what I am in the mood for and therefore have several half read books by my bed that I would really like to finish at some point. A book I read recently. while on holiday in Portugal and really enjoyed , was Horse by Geraldine Brooks. A story set in 2 timeliness about a race horse with themes of racism and relationships. It was fairly heavy going at times, though, so not one to read if you are after a lighter read. It's wasn't really ideal holiday reading 😂. Sending love and best wishes up the country to you ❤️

I read The Lost Bookshop and enjoyed it mostly - books about bookshops seem very popular at the moment. I hope you're doing well.

Hi, Debra! Great to see you! I just read The Hound of the Baskervilles which I really enjoyed. Also, I read my first Agatha Christie, And Then There Were None. Loved it! I just picked up North and South to begin my Victober a little early 😊 Hope to see you in a couple of weeks!

Hi Amy - thanks so much for commenting. I listened to And Then There Were None on audiobook this year. Very atmospheric and a great ending. Hound of the Baskervilles is perfect as Autumn approaches. I have it on my shelves to read one day. I'm planning to do the Sherlock's in order. Hoping to maybe start for Victober. I'm interested to hear what you think of North & South. I enjoyed Cranford last year. I really want to read more Gaskell. Wishing you all the best

Oh my word - how nice to see a video from you pop up on my feed just now!. It's really late night/early morning here in Florida, so I can't linger, but I'll post a longer comment tomorrow when I eventually climb out of my slumber-pit. But for now, take care and kind regards, Brian.

@@bookinwithdebra I'm sure you're making the right choice in not committing to a regular and/or frequent resumption of Y/Tube videos. while you're still navigating your way back to feeling fully comfortable within yourself. I had two good reads in September - George Eliot's "Silas Marner' and 'The Fortnight In September' by R C Sherriff (that so reminded me of my own family's holiday in Rhyll in 1967 that I bought an extra copy and sent it to my sister in England. I have Wilkie Collins' 'Woman in White' lined up for Victober - although I've made an early, sneaky start on it and am already 7 chapters into the book. We're doing OK here in Florida - except for the wife who fell recently and broke her wrist (could have been worse) and is recovering from surgery to put everything back together again. Best wishes, Brian.
