Boxing HOW TOO~More Victories * * * * *PUNCH PROFESSOR

YOU want to WIN !
So you work hard & often, but there is MORE that YOU can do in order to be SUCCESSFUL !
READ THIS FOR MORE UNDERSTANDING !
As I said in the video ~ It's about BUSINESS ...
Also said that it would take me more than a few minute video to elaborate ...
When promoting a Boxing Show there are many large expenses...
Most Boxing Shows lose money ... In order for a fighter to get to the Big Money at the top of the ladder he must have a pretty good record... Now to get that good record someone is paying for your opponent's expenses ....You really do want the right opponent in the other corner..
There is airfare, hotel, food, State licences, blood test, and other health exams $ $ $ - and the Opponents payday and Opponents get payed good... There are other expenses for the OPPONENT, and his TEAM....
The Promoter has a budget, and they need to stay within that budget, or they will soon be out of business... Now the promoter will invest in certain fighters whom they believe are a good investment...
Other fighters who are not under the contact of the Promoter are brought in to take the ass whooping by the Boxer whom the promoter invested in.
For a promoter to get a fighter to the Big Money it cost many thousands of dollars ...
20 - 0 record could cost the promoter $100,000 or more ...GETTING the picture ?
The guy they invest in also is the one they believe can sell tickets$ $ $ Put asses in the seats in order to help cut the expence !
Now you want a career but you ain't the Promoters Fighter ... So perhaps a Manager will invest in YOU and cover much of the promoters $ $ $ expenses... The manager will do this for a percent of your Money when you get to the BIG SHOW with The Big Money... Gonna cost the manager BIG BUCKS to get you to 20-0
Most fighters have NO promoter and NO manager...
So what I am saying is invest in yourself, enlist people friends, family, co-workers to buy tckets, and help sell tickets, so the promoter is not having to fit your expenses into the budget....Getting the picture ? ? ?
Now if you don't help with the expenses then they will pay you pretty good, but they are brining you to the show to take an ASS WHOOPING from the guy whom they invest in...
Now you can upset them by winning a fight they never believed you could win..
Try doing that 20 times to get to 20- 0 where the real money is = Getting the picture ? ? ?
If you ain't costing them $ $ $ and you only have 0NE ARM, then the guy that they bring for you will have NO ARMS !

Oh wow, thanks for the shout out! There’s so much truth here in this video. Artists tend to be terrible business people, but every well known, financially successful fighter knows how to market themselves and surround themselves with the right people to manage their careers, while avoiding all the snakes and greedy middle men. The fight game is so much more than just throwing punches. This is something I wish I would have known earlier.

thankyou so much prof. i was arguing with some casual boxing fans on youtube that being undefeated is to be the best fighter in the ring and also in control but more importantly the manage the politics of boxing, self promote and do all the things that gave money mayweather his millions. and the certainty that he's the best when he steps in a ring. they were being disrespectful to undefeated fighters like floyd but also finito lopez and marciano and calzaghe. they think it's easy.. i was offended

Punch Professor, what's your take on sparring intensity? What do you think is the place and time for hard and light sparring? Normally in boxing gyms it seems that they tend to consistently spar harder than, lets say, muay thai gyms in Thailand

  • @PunchProfessor

    @PunchProfessor

    3 жыл бұрын

Vagabond Revoir * * * * * 5 Stars for the good question * I think of myself as a scientist when it comes to the topic of sparring. I prescribe much different than all others when it comes to sparring... I trained with Maceo, and Maceo is in the infamous photo holding Benny Kid Paret in the ring... (the Photo is on line) Time magazine had this photo as one of the 100 most famous photo's of the 20th Century ! Kennedy being shot was another. Pearl Harbor getting attacked in WW2 is another ! Benny died in that fight. Maceo was never the same. He became very wise concerning taking shots to the head. The Government almost put an end to BOXING in the U.S.A. over that fight as it was on T.V. and the whole country was watching and in shock ! 1962 ! There is a documentary on YOU TUBE (The Ring of Fire) Tells the story... I spent 15 years with Maceo before he passed... I learned from him very well... Now for me to answer your question I would have to write a book. I would have to know what the Boxer was trying to accomplish? ? ? Is the boxer a beginner or a seasoned pro or somewhere in between ? First is protect the fighter, but hard sparring has it's place.. The fighter should be in the very best of shape for the hard sparring ... Who is the sparring partner? (very important) * * * * * What is the Boxer preparing for ? My guys rarely lose a round in hard sparring ! We only do enough hard sparring to test and see if the fighter is ready for the up coming fight... If he passes the test and they almost always do....Then we shut the sparring down, and go to the fight... I hope I was helpful? Perhaps I will make a video some day ! Sorry I would have to guess that I have yet to answer your question! Thanks for Watching.. Truly Paulie D'
