2021 Rogue Invitational - Men's Individual Event 7 - The Duel

Спорт

Complete coverage of the Duel, the 7th and final event of the Men's Individual competition at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, from Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas (Sunday, October 31). The Duel is a single-elimination bracket event in which the top 5 men on the leaderboard earn an automatic bye into Round 2. The workout itself has a 90-second time cap and includes a sequence of double-unders, squat snatches, and a sand bag lift. Coming into the event, Pat Vellner still had a shot at catching Justin Medeiros for the title, but a single misstep helped make the difference in their three-day, back-and-forth battle. When the smoke cleared, Guilherme Malheiros ended the weekend on a positive note with an event win, while Medeiros did enough to secure his first Rogue Invitational championship.
Details of the Workout:
Single Elimination Head to Head Bracket
60 Heavy Double Unders
3 Squat Snatch (205 LBS)
1 Sand Bag Load to 48" Platform (250 LBS)

is it against the rules to start the clean & jerks from the other side of the bar? they lose some time waiting for it to bounce when they're done. or they could drop it behind them instead of in front

this workout is too short to put a strain on their bodies, so having a "warm-up" heat actually helps more than resting

A pretty boring end to a good contest. It would have been nice to see them fight a bit more for the last points.

I think they should have had the weight on the snatch go up every round.... It could have made it a bit more fun.

They need to ask the strong man competitors how to lift sandbags. They all had perfectly straight legs and lifted with nothing but their backs. Until form is no longer trash, no one will ever take CrossShit seriously. Stop it, get some help
