2021 Rogue Invitational - Strongman Event 2 - Cyr Bell Ladder

Спорт

Complete coverage of Event 2 of the inaugural Strongman competition at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, from Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas (Friday, October 29). The Cyr Bell Ladder is a vicious head-to-head gauntlet featuring a series of massive Cyr Dumbbells of ascending weight, from 253 LBS up to 300 LBS. Completing one successful one-arm Cyr press is difficult enough. In this challenge, despite the past exploits of world record holder Mateusz Kieliszkowski, it was 2020 "World's Strongest Man" Oleksii Novikov who was alone in going the distance . . . in less than a minute, no less.
Details of the Event:
Cyr bell weights in order: 253 LBS, 274 LBS, 280 LBS, 290 LBS, 300 LBS
Head to head competition

These invitationals is a prime example on how to deliver strongman content RIGHT. Yeah I'm talking about you WSM, WUS, the list goes on. Live stream day of contest with fluid graphics to show the weights and standings in real time as well as good camera positioning and Uncle Loz shout-casting. Rogue does it right.

WUS was pretty good. It beats paying £4.99 / $10 every time to watch it on Facebook live or official strongman whew the live stream always has issues for a giants live event. But still way better than WSM were all of us are staring at a spread sheet lol

@@thorthewolf8801 its that and the lack of different angles to give a better perspective. Last one they did it in dubai was miles better than bahrain, but always can improve. For a fact, uncle loz NEEDS to be a reoccurring strongman shoutcaster for any of these big title events. He is a natural at it.

These injuries really took their toll on a lot of strongmans. Really sad to see Mateusz underperform

Novikov has obviously done a lot of Olympic lifting.

Novikov used the bent press technique, it is almost a forgotten way of lifting weight. everyone else used clean and jerk

one of the things that hampers strongman is that the weight is soooo heavy, they go out there and perform for almost no time. They really need to invite more contestants to the events to show a greater amount of lifts and show us how unbelievable 280 is. Having multiple contestants no rep is not great for viewership
