Subbed a couple weeks ago after watching a knob disassembly video. A couple days ago a fellow locksporter had a knob disassembly problem. I went to point him your way. Two of the most popular starter kits are the PXS-14 from SouthOrd and the Tuxedo Kit from Sparrows. Those are fan favorites for starter sets! If you grab a lock you can rekey, you can buy some rekey kits at the hardware store and practice, once you start picking it easily, you can change the order of the pins endlessly!

@@PandaFrog Last week I impressioned 3 keys with it. This week I have at least 1 job scheduled that I may use it on! Impressioning isn't a super common job, but when it comes to camper shells, tool boxes, cargo boxes, garages, cabinets, some safes, some county boxes and different types of locks similar to those I will find myself just impressioning the key!

To quote The Hunger Games may the odds be forever in your favor. But for those who are so eager to have one right away they can be found on eBay from China lowest price starting at $28-$48. There are multiple listings and at least 2 pages of them. I’ll sit this giveaway out since I already have enough tools and don’t have boxes of blanks simply sitting around to manually make keys. If I did enter I would simply give it away if I won. So any thoughts since my channel is now at 1100 subscribers?

Hi Kilo! I have an odd question, I am looking to find out the measurements of keyway of as many locks as I can find. I have instacode and know thickness, depth and spacing and wheel cutter angles, but what about the keyway? How do I find out the grooves of keyway measurements? Can I reach out to key manufacturers and request this info? I ask because I am try to make a key way for each lock for a project I am working on. Can you point me in right direction please?

A good place to start would be the ILCO Key Blank Directory books, you can usually find them online and they give you a wide understanding of different keyways. ILCO usually has a ton of info on various keys/keyways that most Locksmith's use for reference!
