Yoga nidra (aka NSDR) is a restorative experience for the brain and body.
In this unique holistic practice, the brain goes through the various brain waves that occur during sleep while you remain awake and aware.
This allows for the physical body to rest deeply and rejuvenate like how it does during sleep. Except you are awake and aware during this process simultaneously. Science is now studying and verifying the positive effects yoga nidra has on the brain and body.
As you go into the slower brain wave states, the mind and body get to rest and restore in ways that are harder to do while going about our day (which is when the mind and body are mostly active).

    I enjoyed that immensely! You have a very nice voice for this n it’s very relaxing 😌 I find that little bit of breathing n relaxing helps rest my body SO much more than simply laying down to rest. Which I often have to do due to the pain from the RA n multiple other things but find that I’m still very much in pain n stiff. I lay on a heating pad n often a nice warm rice sock to help relax n ease to muscle n joint pain. Thank you for leading this lovely reminder of how important it is truly relax n breathe. 😊
