    Hi, maybe a funny question but I never had 1x12 bikes. On 3x7 on left handle you change 3 speeds, on right one other 12. So on the 1x12 on right side I guess you change thoes 12 speeds, but what on the left side, since it has only one speed?

  • @CobraKyle
    @CobraKyle22 сағат бұрын

    On bikes with 1x12 all shifting is done on right side. Left paddle is for your dropper seat post if bike is equipped with one.

    This guy has his head up somewhere. I just bought the cruiser version, and am really happy with it. Why does he think that a $400 bike would be perfect out of the box, when you have to assemble it yourself? Kyle, I made it a few seconds in and gave up, if you're a bike guy you know how ridiculously easy V brakes are to setup. Stop being a gate-keeper. These bikes are decent for the money. I've been riding bikes for 40 years. This is my first venture into E bikes, it's cheap. Don't buy a Hyundai and whine it doesn't perform like a Ferrari...

    I resto-modded a 97 Mongoose Rockadile (pre-Walmart). Cues drive train, Salsa cockpit with TransX external dropper. Nothing is original anymore. The only old components are the Marzocchi EXR Pro fork, XT V brakes and Salsa Delgado rims. No longer a trail terror as I have newer bikes for that, but I ride it daily around the neighborhood and urban group rides. Get a lot compliments on it. Don't ask what the cost was to upgrade. I rationalize with myself that its not about the cost of the build but the journey. ha ha.

    Yeah boy!!! Definitely need to upgrade your fork. I went from a 150mm SunTour (came with the bike) to a 160mm Marzocchi Z1 Air on my Norco Torrent HT. World of difference. Also, I highly suggest upgrading to the Sram Codes over those Levels. I mean you already invest $2K on you bike; might as well go full in. Nice bike btw.

    Hey Cobra Kyle, what do you think about the Superior XP 929 - Lightweight Carbon Hardtail for 1200? Im debating whether I should get the Xtrada 7 for 950 or spend the extra 250 for the 929. Thanks

    Probably don't like Koolstops. They are squeaking on both rims. They are preinstalled with toe in both front and rear, but after a while started squeaking. Original pads didn't squake.

    I have tried their gravel tires and they have been really solid. I can imagine the Mtn tires are really nice too. So this is what I have been doing with my recent tire purchases. #1 I rarely buy Maxxis anymore, unless they at a serious discount like 40% off. #2 I look at other brands that often go on sale. Kenda,Conti,Schwalbe and Victoria. I actually just bought some Teravail 50% off and some Schwalbe at 30% off. Let’s be rear. We rarely need a specific tire urgently and can afford to wait and save or buy and store till you need them. Just my thoughts, especially now when the bicycle industry is starting to collapse.

    Hi Kyle. Nice video, I have a 2016 Connect with a similar set-up. I do have one question that is not related to the Connect though: do you know the person with the sunshade that is parked next to you? I would like to know what brand that sunshade is. Thank you.

    That's the stupidest reason for a tapered head tube I ever heard. I can understand why Kona is going bankrupt. I can promise you no one could tell the difference between a tapered head tube and a straight head tube, when they are adjusted properly.

    If anyone sees this comment, bike shops are having clearance sales again now that covid demand has gone away, so you can get 2022/23 models for 30% off depending on your country/town. The used bike market has good deals for hardly ridden bikes as well.

    My Walmart e-bikes broke in the first months while biking uphill. Something snapped and although the battery was full and the bike could be ridden by peddling the pedal assist was lost. No one could fix it but it was still under the. Allstate warranty.

    I'm using $40 4 piston ztto hydraulic brakes with 203mm rotors and they are too powerful. The wheels skid rather than slow down.
