One of the Most Scenic Rides I've Done - Hobbs State Park
Bike I'm riding: alnk.to/7M5jpne
Took my Trek Top Fuel 8 out for a ride at Hobbs State Park about 25 miles from Bentonville. This is a wet weather loop, so I decided to check it out after we had some rain in the area. Not the type of riding when you think of Bentonville, but it's a beautifully scenic ride and worth checking out if you have the time.

My love of MTB came from just exploring the woods while camping as a kid. I've come to enjoy a lot of different aspects of riding but i still find exploring new areas the most satisfying.

It's one of my favorite aspects too. Going somewhere new and just venturing off to see where all the trails lead.

I agree. Most peoples idea of mnt biking is generally just trail riding. Those trails you shared with us looked very fun. You have the same habit as me. I laugh when a feature surprises me. Very pretty area.

@@CobraKyle Haha, yeah now that they covered up that ditch better, perhaps I won't crash this time! Since you work remote, you could travel whenever! But for now, there's still snow on the big mountain trails up here.

Like you, I don't think there's anything wrong with machine built flow, dh, and jump lines, but I myself prefer natural terrain, techy sections, and just being out in the woods away from civilization. I have went on trails that were literally unridleable and I had to either push or carry my bike , but I still had fun. I did a ride once that took me three and a half hours to go 13.5 miles, and almost 3 of it was hike-a-bike.....loved it.

I love it all! I've always strived to be a well rounded rider. I guess that's why I haven't mastered any one riding skill lol. Me going off on that little tangent in the video was prompted when I asked some locals what the best mountain bike trails were in the region, and all they talked about were jump lines. That's cool and all, but I didn't ask where the best jumps were lol.

@@CobraKyle I think the newest crop of riders seem to be all about dh and jump lines. I am more old (just a bit old at 55) school and just enjoy the challenge of riding and earning the ups and the downs. I was never really into jumping or doing big drops.

Yeah it's been a while for a POV ride video! Felt like the old days. This was a really chill and fun trail to cruise around on. You absolutely need a couple weeks here to see a bit of everything. Weather has been questionable since I moved here, but looking forward to exploring more as we get deeper into spring/summer.
