Exploring MTB capital of the world | Bentonville, Arkansas
Спорт
Arkansas, Bentonville has been on my bucket list of places to ride and I finally got to go!! The jump lines out there were so much fun. The people, the places to eat and the museums to visit were all so incredible.
It rained quit a bit the days we were there so a few of the top trails we wanted to ride were closed. Regardless, the trails that we did get to ride were amazing. This place definitely needs more then three days to visit, mountain bike trails everywhere!

It's fun watching Maddie up ahead as she compresses for the jumps and features... very educational. And the "Whaaaaa!" sound you make always gives me a big grin.
So fun! Can’t wait till we send bigger stuff!!!! 🤪

We rode that in April. Went and watched the UCI race in Fayetteville and then rode Tunnel vision, Hobbs Park and other parts of Slaughter - it was pretty wet when we went but still a blast. Keep stoked!

Great riding. It is comforting for us average riders to hear pros like you still get the nerves on unfamiliar features.

Thank you! And yes, not many people see the behind the scenes to a new jump or feature. We all have to start somewhere. 😊
Great video! This is what I'm talking about! Taking things less seriously, showing the trails, and capturing the FUN! After all, that's a big part of what we're on bikes! To clarify for the watchers, this video is from Bentonville proper, and ONLY Bentonville proper. Slaughter Pen and Coler Preserve are the only two systems featured in this video. They didn't show any of the rock tech lines, but we have those too. Within a 15 minute drive, there's another 100 miles of trail that range from jump lines bigger than these, to pure XC. Venture out another 15 minutes, and there's another 75 miles. Venture out an hour, and there's another 75. They are building trail as I type this. Are you getting the picture? This is a mountain biking playground, with the night life to go with it folks. Rip on it all you want, and poke fun at the self annointed "Mountain Bike Capital of the World," that all of us locals know is all marketing, but at least do yourself a favor and come ride all these "horrible trails" so you have a basis to fire shots from. You can drive a long way from here, and not find a better place to ride a mountain bike.

I was so impressed with the amount of jump lines! Lots of big jumps! I was mind blown by Mad Hatter lol!

@@MaddyPitts ....Well, you were straight up boosting those jumps, and fearless!! Loved it! Flow trails are the trend nationally, so that's a lot of what is being built. But, there's a new section that will be an addition to Slaughter Pen that has some great gravity lines, with some ridiculously big "fly over" bridges that is being built by Gravity Logic. They built a lot of Whistler. There's a smattering of hand cut technical trails as well. You can see it from the Insterstate if you look closely! It looks like it's going to be amazing. We already rode the new lines off Price-Coffee road, that were then shut down until final completion after some people ate crap and EMS couldn't find them, because they hadn't mapped it out yet. Oops. At any rate, when are you two moving here anyway? LOL You would NOT BELIEVE the number of people we have moving here from California for the lower cost of living, and the abundance of "legal" trails to ride. CA is gorgeous, and I can't believe they continue to close things down, and take away riding areas. I hope that gets turned around! With our "central" location in the US, and year round riding, I'm still surprised none of the bigger name KZread riders have moved here yet! I'm so glad you both had such a great trip, and it's awesome to see some shredding women making wicked cool videos of our area!! Plan a return trip in 6 months, and there will be at least another 20 miles of trail to ride. It's BLOWING UP!!

Thanks! Super cool area! I actually live in Colorado. Heather lives in California! But, it’s also pricey here but fortunately we have some of the best trails and I’m quite spoiled! But, I would love to live somewhere with as many jump lines as they have there! Lol so much fun! We will for sure be back likely in the cooler months when riding slows down in Co.

I just returned from Bentonville. Jump lines are great if that is your single desire. If you are looking for old school, see some territory and work a little XC trails, what I saw was average. Granted there are many miles I didn’t see. The ice cream at the place beside the first Walmart store is fantastic.

@@HeatherMunive ...next time you visit Bentonville, don't miss out on Gravity Logics' build called Madd Hatter and the surrounding trails like Wonderland. Also some super, new absolute excellence in trail-building called Hand-cut Hollow. (All in the Bentonville area). If you have the time ride Mt Nebo, near Dardinelle, AR w/1600ft elevation and miles of downhill, and or Devil's Den State Park,...the rockwork here☝️will blow your mind and burp your tires...lol. Also Lake Leatherwood Downhill Park and the Passion Play trail system near Eureka Springs, AR (1hrs drive east of Bentonville, btw,Leatherwood is shuttled). Last but not lease is the Buffalo Outdoor Center trails near Ponca, AR. These are more remote and have a nearly 6mile long downhill shuttled run and much excellent black diamond natural rock goodness. Each of these said destinations away from Bentonville deserve a full day to really enjoy. Just sayin... Just food for thought and pre-planning if you come back for more.✌️🤙
