Surf Fishing In So Cal

Surf Fishing In So Cal

Welcome to Surf Fishing In So Cal. My name is Nick Heid and I began surf fishing in 2014. Ever since my first session, I've been hooked. I started an information-based website and blog back in 2019 and it's turned into a full-blown guiding business and community for surf fishermen across Southern California. And, of course, this KZread channel was then born. Stay tuned for more of my surf fishing adventures and if you haven't started surf fishing just yet, get ready to leave the lakes behind and as I change your perspective of San Diego fishing..

    Yah it’s always unfortunate when it happens. But for the price they’re great reels. I’ve had a handful of them for over 3 years through client useage and they’ve been through some rough hands and still working smoothly. I’m average probably only a 2-3 year lifespan though in salt water. The Spinfisher on the other hand I have has shown zero signs of wear and that’s been dunked a number of times

    Perpendicular current on the beach? What is causing the current?

  • @surffishinginsocal
    @surffishinginsocal5 ай бұрын

    Typically swell direction along with beach structure (new formations of sand etc). There’s always numerous swells from numerous different directions hitting the beach and sometimes one is more powerful than the rest, resulting in a general southern or northern current. This is completely separate from a rip current.

    Hi Nick, Do you have a brand name or picture of the mussels you buy. I have tried at least 2 from the Asian market. In both cases the mussel literally disintegrates as they thaw. They are like a frozen powder. The only "usable" part is the rubber band part that forms the outside. They don't look at all like yours in the picture. Thank you for all your awesome content (I also sent this to your Blog post) Doug
