How to Use Surfline for Surf Fishing

Спорт

In this video, I'll show you how to use surfline.com to analyze the surf conditions and surf forecast and use the info for surf fishing. Surfline was created for surfers, but it turns out that it's perfect for surf anglers nation wide as well!
I'll walk you through the best conditions for surf fishing and then I'll break down each feature of surfline so you can understand and recreate my methods of planning a surf fishing session and using surfline for surf fishing.
Surfline is likely the best fishing app out there if you're referring to surf fishing. It tracks surf, swell, wind, water temp, air temp, weather and much more and I use it before every session.

@@surffishinginsocal for waves, surf report, but I don't care about waves as much as you do, tide is much more significant for what I do... big waves aren't a problem, unless they coincide with negative or below tides for me.

Hey buddy! Thanks for the video! Wouldn’t wanna pay for Surfline, but seems like a good tool! I have a question about the tide. I showed up at Huntington Beach this morning, the high tide was at its highest peak, so two hours before high tide I would Be fishing in the dark lol.

@@surffishinginsocal sorry for sounding so damn stupid lmao! Guess what I’m trying to say is, each incoming times can be at different times. Like I needed to be out there at 5am for my two hour window to fish. Also Huntington Beach was so damn steep. I need to find a not to steep structure. The waves seemed very strong there idk why

@@chrismehle5716 so tides will change per day and they’ll kind of change per season. But you don’t need to fish at certain tides. You can fish whatever tides you want really as long as you know how to read the surf. Find the structure (soft or hard) and find the fish. As far as the steepness goes, it’s likely that HB is super steep rn because we just had incredibly high surf coke in and tear away up to 7 feet of sand at some beaches. So a lot of beaches look different than they have. Same thing with the “high surf” you mentioned, surf height changes on a day to day basis. I’d you hit that same beach up on the summertime on the right day, the beach will be very mellow and very fishable. I’d encourage you to read through my home page on my website: surffishingsocalsd.com/ and follow every link that you feel might help you understand surf fishing more as you read that home page in it’s entirety. It will likely lead you down multiple rabbit holes which will in turn fill you with a lot of new knowledge. And if you have any questions after that, or if you just wanna talk for more clarification. Send me a text at (619) 922-1733 and we can chat about whatever you need clarification on. Hope this helps man🤙

Yo bro. My name is Glenn and Guide here in San Diego. I have a hobie kayak charter and youtube channel and all that jazz as well. Was wondering if you were down for a collaboration. I'm a decent surf fisherman but I'm money on the kayak inshore. I catch halbit like no one else. Was wondering if you wanted to do a collaboration. I'll bring a kayak for you and we can halibut fish Mission bay. Let me know bro. 🤘
