Pete B: East Texas Homesteading

Pete B: East Texas Homesteading

Welcome, my channel has many videos of projects I've done in the past and many recent ones. I hope you can learn from these videos, as I'm learning too. In 2015 my wife and I decided to "get out of the city" and leave the rat race, congestion and chaos behind. We moved from Houston to the country in east Texas to be able to grow our own food and be more self sustainable. Join us in this country homesteading journey to a peaceful and more natural way of life.

    The 18lbs that you lost and the gut getting smaller is probably all the fiber n shit finally out of you, along with some fat under there.. but its amazing how much gets trapped inside of you from eating fiber

    My husband does Carnivore. He now weighs 130 pounds-no gut. He went from a 34 waist below his gut. Now he is 30”. He is 74 and can put most 30 year olds to shame.

    Nature use to limit out carb intake by making honey and berries seasonal. As in 2-4 WEEKS!!! A year. Try raw. I find it to be refreshing and calming less STIMULATING than cooked. Cooked makes new reach for carbs/alcohol afterwards. Raw is refreshing like eating fresh seasonal fruit.

    It's great to see the growing list of KZreadrs talking about the carnivore diet. I hope your regular audience will take your advice and do their own research because it's the only way to actually get healthy. No doctor, no drug and no carb will fix the human body (or mind). Ditch "em all and just eat meat!!!!

    Not gonna touch the biblical reference, but just to inform ruminants can and do carry internal parasites. They're less likely to develop an overload of parasites when ranchers practice rotational grazing and their pastures or enclosures are kept clean and relatively dry, but they can still contract them from the environment, nearby wildlife etc. In fact, keeping both sheep and goats well in the rainy season can be really hard on pastures where the rainwater doesn't drain well. I can't tell you the number of fellow farmers / ranchers I know that have lost almost their entire herds to barber pole worm, for example. Just want folks to know for the sake of everybody's health, especially if anyone eats big game regularly. Deer, bison, elk, moose, mule deer, pronghorn etc. are all ruminants as well but are all also susceptible to and frequently found to have internal parasite infections. So if you eat a lot of big game, just be mindful and take steps to make sure the meat you eat is safe.

    I was vegetarian 50 years! I was a BELIEVER! 15 years ago I became very ill from Lyme, and then Electro-sensitive. I was tested for food allergies, and crappola- I was allergic to every single veg and fruit that i ate, not allergic to any meat. So I had to eat meat for a few months, improved, but went back on my veges- I still could not conceive that meat was GOOD! Some of us are slow learners. It took another 10 years before I heard about carnivore, and now, 18 months carnivore, and such amazing results. I still deal with Lyme and mold, so I'm not perfectly healthy. But the improvements are far reaching, and I believe this is the best way to nourish my body to overcome my health issues. Thanks for presenting Sally Norton's book. It helped me tremendously. I had painful oxalate dumping, but that resolved with her book's info. All my Best to You!!

    I watched your video on making encapsulated vitamin C about a year ago. Are you still doing that? I was plant based, vegetarian and now basically Keto. Thinking of going strict carnivore because my acid reflux has disappeared and my joints no longer ache after just five weeks. Toxic Superfoods, going to order the book. Thank you for staying informed and willingness to change route when needed. 😊

    Actually I no longer do the vitamin c encapsulation. I do take Acerola cherry powder which is a natural vitamin c. I take one tsp of that powder in the morning with a glass of water which supplies over 400mg of natural vitamin c.

    What if you have high cholesterol and colon cancer runs in my family?

  • @petebeasttexashomesteading
    @petebeasttexashomesteading23 сағат бұрын

    Almost all cancer and cholesterol is not genetic, it's our diet. Cholesterol is not what causes blockage, it's the high startchy and sugar foods and high insulin in the blood that damage the cells and lining of the arteries. Then the cholesterol will try to patch it up and clog your arteries. Cholesterol is not the cause but a factor if you have a high startchy sugar and high carbohydrate diet.

    Welcome the the carnivore club! I began carnivore last August after weighing 271 pounds with swollen ankles (symptomatic of congestive heart failure), shortness of breath mowing my lawn, and a blood pressure of 171/110! I'm still a work in progress, but I now weigh 222 with a blood pressure of 128/79 and no ankle swelling and no medications! I owe the improvement in my heath entirely to the carnivore diet. My goal is to get down to the 160's, as I'm only 5'7". Sending prayers for your continued health improvements on the carnivore diet!
