Was so glad we got all that rain. Water tank is full and pond’s were overflowing. Feeling blessed with all that rain!!

These water tanks full are huge peace of mind for watering the garden in the dry season. Draught in south east TX was ruthless last year.

I put so much food back last growing season that I'm going to take the year off of gardening. I'm planting 10 fruit and nut trees, adding 4 new veggie beds and reworking the watering system, and that's the end of the work. It's going to be glorious! It's going to be a laid back year.

Looks like a good time to have more water tanks for more storage for summer keep up the good work you make good videos.

Howdy Pete! Man I am with you... I am sick of the NW Ohio winters! If only I could convince the wife to move south... We got a hard freeze here about 7-10 days ago... single digits with highs in the teens. Froze the ground SOLID. Then the temp shot up into the 40s and 50s and rained. Nowhere for the water to soak into because of the frozen ground, so lots of standing water. Now my back yard is like walking on a muddy sponge. Really enjoy your weekly updates! Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠

I’m afraid El Niño has really disrupted the patterns. In southern MN, we have barely had any snow this year. Just the one cold snap that put us and everyone else in the Midwest into the deep freeze. Now, however, we are in the 40’s during the day with no precipitation in the forecast…at the end of January! It’s definitely bizarre!

8" here in Montgomery county Monday thru Thursday, be glad to see the sun Pete.

We had over 8" in the Buffalo TX area. Ponds are filled back up.

April showers bring May flowers. January rain just makes mess! 😂 maybe get rid of chickens switch to ducks!! lol. I’m in NJ we got lot rain also. Last week we had snow ant 10 degrees that was fun 😬

North of Houston It has been a wet week for sure. We have had 9 inches at my place from Monday to Friday. It has been dry 3 days and I still have standing water. Next rain is expected next weekend. We need a couple of weeks to dry out!

I never really thought about it, but that is the drawback to having perfectly flat land..... The water has no where to go. We had a little over 5.25" of rain out of this multi-day system, but nothing sits like it does at your place.

Of course it never rains like that in the summer time when the crops and trees could actually use it.

I hate rain in the winter. Prefer snow at this time of the year. Its pretty and the slow melt is kinder to the sump pump. Indiana backyard chicken keeper here.

I live pretty close to you. I’m sick of the rain right now. Better than ice though.

Hi Pete - We’re getting a lot in Ohio too. But I think you have us beat! I’m going to start building my ark next week if it keeps up. You should too! ;-)

Hey there! I'm in southern California and in about one week we are supposed to get 6 straight days of rain, which we normally don't get. My chickens won't like it but thankfully I have some time to prepare their run for the onslaught.

Don't bitch about the rain because you don't want a drought. That's how it's been here in Missouri, but this week the weather has been all over the place with cold temperatures and freezing rain and now rain. But next week we finally get warmer temperatures and that bright round thing in the sky! Either you need more tanks or put in a pond.

We needed it. I feel like I'm starting to mold though....

Same here in NC where I live. I am tried of it. We need a break. MY chicken run is so wet and some of this rain has gotten in my basement.

The southern highbush blueberry are always looking for a place to die. You need rabbit eye blueberries.

Do you have a video of your blueberries I bought to types at Walmart they are doing great .. I made videos of them a few months back .. I can't remember their names at the moment

stop complaining that is too much rain...because when summer shows up people also complain that is not rain...be happy that we have rain....be happy and enjoy it...get outside and get wet...like when u were a kid...besides when u do not see rain in summer or even spring u will start appreciating the rain - yes even when it is too much -and start missing it...u do not see the sunshine...? when u will see it next time u will appreciate that it is there for you to enjoy....be greatful for everything, everyday, and live the moment because u may not be here tomorrow...

Yup yup ..4 days of Rain .. I call it that annoying rain..,but now we are done ..but still chilly..ready for some sun 🌞.. first the freeze then the rain war mother nature gave us a 1,2 punch 🤛

Pete….it sure looks like you might be one of my neighbors here in Jasper County!!!😝. We have only been here a couple months and we got the swimming pool welcome. Wish we could save it all for August - October 🥵🥵🥵!!!

Dude with this past summers drought, Texas will take ALL the rain we can get. Even more so if this coming summer is anything like the last or worse.

Pete be prepared it’s going to get worse. The climate has changed the weather cycle. The airstream has dropped down more to the south.
