Where's "Feeling Alright" by Joe Cocker? Prince Fleaswallow!
I looked this up because I heard a George Benson tune that reminded me of casino nights
Green Hill Zone's music on both the wireless console and the wired console are bad, but it's slightly worse on the wireless version.
When I was a singer at Tokyo Disneyland in the 1980's a recording studio engineer asked me to come in and record several lines for a video game. I had no idea that Altered Beast was the game. I only wish that I had been given the rights to receive at least a penny for every game sold!!! I recorded all of the lines - "Rise From Your Grave" "Power Up" "Welcome to your Doom" and all the hits and death sounds.
are you serious? that's kinda crazy! would you be willing to do a small interview? i think that would be an interesting story to hear more about
There is NO button to switch the mode from AP to xxx for android!!!
Great list. I think Akira Yamaoka deserves his own video.
Actually I think that Sailor Moon theme was closer to Gloria by Laura Branigan
This video needs a serious update, especially since several more games today use the Wilhelm Scream.
what music do you use for your intro?
Episode 69. Nice.
One always overlooked is Destruction Derby 2 Track 13 and the into music on DOOM... Both were such great build ups for the intensity ahead!
Alundra - The Wind That Shook the Earth should be there somewhere
Suprise that soul blade main theme didn't make the list
Super Star Force has an ElecMan in its DA 0001/0316 track, the 3rd stage theme or 4th track in most rips, but the part that really sounds like it is over a minute into the loop! That game had some rather long music loops for 1986 on the Famicom.
Others: stop using this coz it's racist Japanese: hehe, funny Chinese music
For top 10 best mods, I would recommend The Legend of Zelda: Master of Time which is a mod of OOT. The puzzles were next level and made you think outside the box, the modder did a great job with the music (including a version of the Maridia theme from Metroid) and there were a lot of easter eggs. A very good playthru and a good challenge for N64 players.
Personal faves not included, legacy of kain soul reaver main theme, soul blade - rock theme or intro theme, wipeout 2097 - any in-house theme , street fighter ex - any theme , worms main theme, star gladiator - zelkin theme, street fighter alpha 2 - sakura theme
Anyone who thinks VGM isn't real music may be a snob, has very limited taste in music, or maybe they've never played any videogames. I have the cds of Symphony of the Night, Lament of Innocence, and F-Zero GX/AX. I put that car cd player to good use.
The worst part of Weird Atmosphere is that it got Raging Blast 2 to have a more common version with a completely different soundtrack, which even took out Head Cha La!
i feel like either Rival schools (Taiyo rooftoop) or (The School Yard of Taiyo) themes should have been somewhere on here. none the less PSX has soo many cant really be mad
1st off, how can anyone say video game music isn't real music? Aquatic Ambiance, Stickerbrush Symphony , Snake Eater's theme. Want some from ps1? Aerith's theme, Croc's Smash and See (BTW, can anyone hear In the Garden of Eden in that?), Spyro 's Dark Hallow and One Winged Angel, so glad that's #1. As for Mods, my favorite is the Punisher in Streets of Rage 2. His arcade game was done kinda dirty for the Genesis and am glad it's going to be in the MVC fighting collection soon, along with MVC 2, of course
Metal Squad #1
As someone who collects game sountracks to listen to when not playing my games, I don't get how anyone can say video game music isn't music! I have gone on rants about just how some songs really work to enhance the emotion of games (I've a list of songs that just listening to them makes me feel the emotion of the scenes all over again).
Cool list. I'd have put a Medal of Honor theme on there, composed by a young Michael Giacchino before becoming Hollywood royalty.
The best PS1 music, most of the spots would be Castlevania (SOTN & Chronicles original and arranged versions) metal gear solid, resident evil 1-3, tony hawk 1-4, SF series, Tekken 3, tomb raider main menu music, only because of their enternece themes the WWF games, I don’t play take turns attacking games like FF or other RPGs, just don’t find that fun at all
Glad you gave Lost Painting some love. It is one of my favorites also.
it was difficult to not make that #1
Great list, PS1 had so many fantastic tunes.
Wild Arms either the first or 2nd Detonator always gives me goose bumps.
Tomba - Village of All Beginnings, one of my favorites.
On the Warpath
Hey, hope all you guys are doing well?
New vid will be out around noon today
How is everything? Long time no see
Is "Faithfully" by Journey by far the most Popular one?
Physical? I was thinking “Gloria” inspiring the Sailor Moon track.
This is by far the most underrated PS1 game for me. Nearly no one talks about it. All these retro gaming channels and I always wait to hear them cover ONE and they never do. It plays like what those Contra games on PS1 SHOULD have been. The plot is so vague it's alluring. I waited and waited for a sequel that never came when I was a kid. It had quite possibly the most enticing cliffhanger of any video game I've played *voices keep calling to me, telling me, "I've got to go find HER". But for now, this is John Kane....out* credits roll I've waited nearly 30 years to know who "her" is lol.
정말 잼나게 햇던 게임 엔딩곡은 아직도 잊혀지짛 않습니다.~~지금도 핸드폰 벨소리임~
Can you please make a video on how to connect everything to computer vision doing the installation of Python and stuff
'Live' from Live and Reloaded will forever be my favorite Robin tracks
A friend of mine growing up won a contest back then. I think out of a magazine. But anyway him and his dad were wined and dined. Picked up in a limoand flown out to hq for a couple days. Got a tour. Chance to play early, and they put him in the game. That was what the contest was for. His face is on a billboard I think when zip lining or something. Got a special thanks in the credits. $1k. $500 around the town and dinner money some other cool prizes and then flew home. I was kinda jelly. But more excited for him and knowing that contests are real. I think we were like 15. His name is Chris Randall
You know its mostly appears in starwars but i am happy it also appeared in gta 4 and 5 i hope it also appears in gta 6 so its complete HD trilogy
Try them on anything other than the retron
Not just iron man on that track, it was also the bands self titled song "black sabbath".
pure nostalgia! these freaky samples always scared me, but the weirdness is what makes the songs so memorable. honestly, it perfectly captures the surrounding Y2K eras. ending & begining of millennium. truly a Distorted Reality!
Can AnyCast be used without wifi once it setup?
This legend was the only person who made the Master System and Game Gear sound good considering how awful the chip of sound was for both consoles. Games like GG Shinobi, Batman Returns and Sonic the Hedgehog are proof of his mastery. I wonder what he could've done on the NES
This was a random pick from a blockbuster one night back in the day and I think about it to this very day. I kicked ass at this game! I’m not super good or anything but I just had a knack for it. I wish I could play it again. Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking for one.
Bring him back he stole all the right music
He obviously saw them as transformative and his higher ups did not agree, unfortunate because in a perfect world it really doesn't matter, the people who made the original songs have made millions, they've been rewarded, this soundtrack gave most of us a very memorable experience, it's unfortunate it has to be this way. Kenji can compose, he has before, it does not make sense to outright plagaurize songs, especially songs so popular, why would he do that? Really think about it, do you think he thought hed get away with it? I dont think he did
6:05 Muh-lay!? Super Smash Brothers Muh-lady, HA HA HA!!! Sorry, this pronunciation got me good. I've never heard it pronounced like that. Only Me-lee or May-lay.
Glad you included M.A.S.K., that was my first impression upon hearing the Game Boy version of his music
Wait!!! The last song took from a yoko kano song in bebop that was ripped off from another band??? So we have an anime game, ignoring it's own soundtrack, to copy another anime soundtrack that plagiarized other people's... Holy fuck lmao!
