12:32 IMHO it’s even more similar to Satorl Marsh (Night time) from the first Xenoblade Chronicles. Speaking of Hat In Time, a particularly egregious one is "Subcon Caves" & the main theme from Luigi’s Mansion (most noticeably the garden music). Considering how "Subcon" is the name the world in SMB2 _AND_ how the composer started off as a VG music remixer, I’m convinced this was intentional.

I might have another one for "Clocktowers Beneath the Sea" from A Hat in Time. I heard George Michael's song "Father Figure" on the radio the other day, and there was a piano melody in the background right as the song builds up to the chorus that I think sounds very similar to "Clocktowers Beneath the Sea".

Number 6, the Sailor Moon one sounds a bit more like "Gloria" by Laura Branigan. And here's a new one. The Super Mario World Special Zone theme sounds quite similar to part of the song "Dejame Vivir" by Rocio Durcal and Juan Gabriel.

That first one's melody was used in an Eggman theme, I think.

12:00 That one seems to turn up in all kinds of strange places (another couple examples are Heavenly Window in Castlevania SotN & Marble Corridor from Harmony of Dissonance). One possible explanation I’ve read a few times is that it is/was a preset on a piece of audio recording/editing hardware. I can’t vouch for how accurate that is, but if it IS true then it does beg the question: which came first? Did hardware manufacturers lift the riff from Blade Runner, or did Blade Runner use an existing preset from whatever tool the sound team were using?

Wouldn't be the last time Donkey Kong Country was inspired by Duran Duran.

I honestly think the DKL3 one is just coincidence. It's an 8-bit version of the SNES theme, and turning it 8-bit has made it sound like the Blade Runner tune. Stranger Things is just a nod to that era, particularly John Carpenter, but also Vangelis.

I haven't been here for a good minute, and I'm glad to see this series is still going strong. Don't know if this one has been submitted already, but the theme song for Rock Howard in Garou: Mark of the Wolves sounds almost identical to "Children" by Robert Miles.

One more to add: the field of hopes and dreams theme from Deltarune sounds a bit inspired from the Mount Ordeal theme from Final fantasy 4. The intro sounds similar and when the other instruments come afterwards it becomes a bit louder in volume.

Speaking of BladeRunner, this has been pointed out by many, but the bassline in Heavenly Doorway from Castlevania SOTN has a bassline like that of the end credits of BladeRunner.

The bassline from Gangplank Galleon is way more like Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden
