5:56 i see that you trasnlate from english because "móc" in polish means "can" but also "may" (as a verb), may in polish is just maj.

Mistake - May in Polish is "maj", it's NOT "móc". "Móc" in Polish is a verb and it means "to be able to do sth".

Despite looking and sounding similar, the Hungarian word is not of Germanic but Finno-Ugric origin. Templom comes from Latin, just like English temple. Besides mecset, we have the word dzsámi from Turkish. Interestingly, iskola comes directly from Latin, without intermediation. An old word for kórház is Ispotály, which is similar to others, and a synonym of gyár is üzem őr even cég with a different meaning (firm). Bakery is pékség (we don't really say "péküzlet"), and it's related to both the Germanic and the Slavic terms. Könyvtár literally means warehouse of books, and színház means house of scenes. A shorter version of repülőtér is reptér.

As others have already commented, Hungarian víz, Finnish and Estonian vesi are related. In fact, we do have the word dzsúsz from English, but we rarely use it, if ever. The word for whisky depends on where it's from: if it's Scottish, it's whisky, if it's American, it's whiskey. The pronounced "viszki" form is not yet widespread, it's not even recognised as correct.

Mouth in Hungarian is száj, not szaj. Hungarian szem, Finnish silmä and Estonian silm are related, so are the words for head: fej, pää and pea. Unlike them, however, Hungarian nyak, Austrian gnack and English neck are NOT cognates.

In Hungarian, another word for olajbogyó is olíva, which is more similar to the others. Honey is méz, édesem means sweetheart. Also, the picture shows peas instead of beans. Actually, ice cream and jégkrém are false friends (or rather false calques). Ice cream is fagylalt, more commonly shortened to fagyi, while jégkrém means ice lolly (UK) or popsicle (US).

In Hungarian, mérges can also mean venomous, that's why we use dühös for angry. Also, jealous is féltékeny, irigy means envious. Zavaros is an adjective that refers to inanimate things, for humans we use zavarodott.

In Hungarian, for freezing weather we would simply say "fagy" or "fagyás". Fagyasztás is the act of freezing something, e.g. food. Interestingly, fagyi (ice cream) comes from this verb. Also, the formal word for humidity is "páratartalom", nedvesség can just mean moisture or dampness.

Firstly, narancs and orange are distantly related. Secondly, in Hungarian, we have two words for strawberry: eper and szamóca, and there's a big debate over what fruit they actually refer to: mulberry, strawberry or wild strawberry. Kókuszdió can be shortened to just kókusz, and another word for kajszi is sárgabarack (lit. yellow peach).

In Hungarian, we can use kocsi for car. Interestingly, this is the source of English coach and similar European words. Vonat, while unrelated to Zug and train, this meaning is a calque of them because it comes from the same idea, namely to pull (or "von"). Also, we do have bicikli. Slang terms include: bringa, bicaj, bicó, canga etc. Busz is short for autóbusz, so is repülő for repülőgép. Csónak is a Slavic borrowing, and we do say kamion more often than teherautó. Interestingly, villamos comes from "villany" (electricity). A more formal (and longer) way to say ferry or komp is átkelőhajó (transfer ship). Van is "furgon" in Hungarian since no one says kisteherautó. Finally, motor is used instead of motorkerékpár (it means car engine as well).

In Hungarian, we have two words for red: vörös and piros (vörös is darker in shade). There's also bordó (bordeaux). Same for purple, we have: lila (from German, it's more blue than red), ibolya/viola (meaning violet, more blue than red) and bíbor (colour of paint coming from those snails, more red than blue). Interestingly, bíboros (or kardinális) means cardinal. Also barna is related to Germanic braun, unlike szürke, which is not cognate with the Slavic terms since it's of Finno-Ugric origin. For orange we can just say "narancs", without "sárga" (same with "arany"). We do have the word pink from English. Finally, lilac could be translated as "orgona" (both the flower and the colour).

The Slovakian word for jacket comes from the Hungarian term for fur: bunda. So do the South Slavic words for shoe: cipellő. Also, zokni actually originates from German Socke. We do have the Latin word kravátli for a special kind of tie, and we did borrow the English sort for shorts. Interestingly, kesztyű is from "kéz" (hand).

In Hungarian, pincér is a calque of the German Kellner. Also, police is just rendőr, rendőrség is the institution, the building. Lawyer could be ügyvéd (lit. case-defender), too. Instead of gazda/gazdász we can say farmer, but it means jeans as well, so be careful. And notice how many of the words end in -ász/-ész and -ó/-ő. It's because these are common job-forming suffixes. Btw, fisher is halász, horgász means angler. Színész comes from scene.

In Hungarian, formally we also say labdarúgás (ball kicking) for football. Is röplabda green because it's a calque? We have a lot of words for cycling other than kerékpározás (nobody really says that): biciklizés, bringázás, cangázás (although some of these are slang). And for gymnastics we have torna or tornázás, too (probably from German). For diving there's merülés, but it's not the official name of the sport.

Hungarian orosz is actually distant cognate with Russia. Also, we do say Itália, Hispánia and Germánia when referring to the historical region. And we rarely abreviate the USA as AEÁ, we tend to use USA as well, albeit pronounced as usha. In French it's les États-Unis, in English they say the Netherlands, Holland is a smaller area within.

In Hungarian, pele means dormouse. Also, why is szarvas coloured the same as the Latin words when it's unrelated? It comes from szarv, meaning horn.
