DIY3DTech is focused on taking the activity of "Personal Making" to the level of "Personal Fabricating" be it for advanced home hobbyists or small commercial pursuits. We focus on sharing the tools and techniques which were once only in the domain of big business, but are rapidly becoming available at the desktop scale. With advent of micro-controllers such as the Ardunio, 3D Printing, CNC Machining, and Laser cutting or engraving are now available in the "Personal Fabricating" arena opening an entirely new cottage industry based upon the combined mash up of these technologies and small (niche) manufacturing capabilities creating completely new opportunities to move from Maker to Entrepreneur like never before!

Are u still around mate, I would like to ask if I’m sending the air outside on a window, just opening another window I’m my apartment is enough to avoid creating negative pressure ?
hey I love this video and i was able to get it installed but the actual printer doesn't do anything like the UI works but nothing moves any reason did I do something wrong?
I have a question my laser burns for the beguining but the stops it keeps going though like it’s burning but no laser
so you didn't bother filming how you connected the tubing, the wiring, or the clamps...what was the point of making a video? i mean, ANYBODY can see WHERE things are connected if they own one of these...
been a while, how long did this last?
Thank you so much! Have the same cnc, brand new. Wood is cutting perfectly like the cnc cutter specs recommend. But aluminum is a nightmare. I did a 1mm deep cut with a 10mm cnc mill but the spindle stopped rotating mid program. The 500W motor couldnt handle it. I saw you do 0,25mm passes. Thanks for that
Hi , great work, is the post still available on your website,
Omtech makes an antifreeze for glass co2 lasers
I don't see a link...just says here are my perfered glasses...
great video. I have a problem with laser neje 3 + mac ios 13 + lightburn (trial). I designed a circle but the final result is ouval. where and what should I do to setting this ? thanks
Holy cow, I've been doing this manually. I do have a couple issues with this though. You can't make the cylinders that are part of the array any smoother (they are defaulted to 16 sides), and if you make an array with an odd number of components, it will not center correctly with the align tool. They also will not rotate correctly, because the geometric center is not the same as the center of the array for an odd number of components.
I have been having issues with OLM3 and getting error messages 8 and 9. Will this update help with those issues? Thanks
Thank you!!! You saved my time... That's my 1st week with LB and I was close to give up 😱
Can this tool measure temperatures above 1000 degrees Celsius?
I don't have the same file as you show. But when I did try to upload I get an error timeout message
Too drawn out, show the damn fan not babble on and on.
Only rubish.
Trying to sort myself with Core XY, Can't swap pins, can only mod Marlin actually and using old cables that came with the Ender itself, Basically i made a conversion following a printables page ENG by RH3D, but i can't find a way to get my axis to move correctly, I mean i told machine to auto home it tries to get into the back left corner so x0 y235, but, doesn't work correctly
Thank you i've got all the information needed.
It's almost impossible to give a real evaluation of a machine without fully understanding how to properly use it. Granted, it's a hobbyists CNC, but still it's important to understand proper set up to really evaluate the capabilities of whatever is being tested. Proper work fixturing, understanding what material is really being used, describing what the machining priorities are (fast? excellent finish?), mill bit diameter, flute count, material, speeds and feeds that are defined by those parameters, lubrication, chip removal, etc....all very important to really test the CNC.
I have never heard of someone using a spirit level to level a 3d print bed before, it doesn't make any sense.
I am having a problem with Alarm 3 Reset while in motion.GRBL cannot guarantee position. Lost steps are likely. Rehoming is recommended which I did. ON or near Line 0. Please help!
Would be so much better if you could align the ruler with your object by moving the ruler and not the object!
Nice video, it worked
when I'm designing anything In Tinkercad i just hit D to drop it to the bed to make sure
Hi im rayen
PLA/PETg -------》FTW ❤️
You didnt explain how to ground it. sad face
That's a lot of passes for cardboard. I've found with my 10 watt diode just focus a few mm closer than normal, run it 100% and bump the speed up and it cuts super clean on one pass. I haven't done your level of experimenting, though I've cut quite a bit of cardboard. Luckily cardboard goes so fast that I usually just babysit it.
I do not know, but I would think that aligning the second mirror close to the laser, then at the opposite end would be much more precise than measuring against the sheet metal. If the laser burns a hole in the tape in the same spot at both ends, it's aligned. It's all based on where that first mirror is pointing. I am only guessing.
Thanks for another great video! My house has pex plumbing. So I guess I'm going to have to run a wire to the main water shutoff valve. Is that right?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I am shocked!
You need to put titanium dioxide on it to get black from the engraving.
When I get to the grbl folder and click "Open" it simply onpens the folder and does not add it, if on the other hand I put it in a zip, it is adding it, but if I upload it to the arduino Uno and try to run the motors with the UGS app sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, and only for a few secconds, and I get all sorts of erros, missing gcode and other stuff. What am I doing wrong?
When it comes to safety gear, the prices get inflated a huge amount. This applies to racing equipment, a $10 fire extinguisher becomes $100 when it goes into a racecar even though they are essentially identical. There are some differences, that might one $15, but not $100. So the question is always what item is better and what is just over inflated price? btw, how about one just wear an eye patch on one eye, so in the worst case, you still retain vision no matter what.
Sooooo, being I can't locally find the SR44+ (and what's the + for?) Will a 357 will in my digital Caliper???
Hey. Anyone know if the G-codes are still up? THanks.
This is indeed a very powerful tool, my question, would it do the reverse i.e. from STL file to Script?
Thank you so so so much Bro, min 1:10
Very good info!
Wheres the link for the glasses? its blank...
This little fukker work? I have one on a 3018 and my Monport board on my k40 isn't working.... if it works I might be able to temp rig it up
GRBL is completely configurable
i mean. Your bed is level if if the printer is the horizon... Meaning its 100% level to the framing of the printer. lol Different interpretation of the words i suppose.
What bit did you use… a diamond one?
thanks. tried Kiss and for some reason it does not like the Marlin 2.06 system. Thanks anyway
Garble? GBRL = Gerbil
