Thank you thank you. Never wrenched on cars but gonna go for it. Blown head gasket which means I’m replacing water pump and timing belt while I’m at it. Very clear explanation and appreciate you actually showing where to look. You’ve got a new subscriber!

115 volts ! I was using a solder gun from O'Reilly autoparts store that I bought to solder a wire harness on my low beam headlight. It wouldn't get the wire hot enough to solder. The solder gun is 60 watts plug in.

i soldered a wire for ignition system on a GSR engine in a 1995 honda civic and one night it would not start i found the solder connection broke off from flexing i was sad... this is why they do not solder wiring on cars and trucks they crimp them and they are stranded wiring, i did learn that in college when i took a 1 year class on auto electrical.... it was a great class to take and learn something like no solder on some things.. but just crimp them together for flexing problems... they will flex and brake off like mine did ....

Can you bend a stranded wire that has been soldered? I needed to do so in order to get the wire up through an exit hole in a blender. Just hoping I didn't loosen the solder. Thanks in advance.

Love seeing other peoples ideas. I’m hoping to set up a mobile storage unit and utilize an outfitters tent as my shelter. That way I can maximize the trailer space for survival gear, food and water and not bring the creature comforts of home with me. In any survival scenario it’s about living and hoping the situation eventually gets better. I would rather have gear than a kitchen sink.

Good vid! They all skipped the explanation about the torque and clutch. I always just had a reg. drill I did a million thing and slow to fast depending on the trigger squeeze. Now theres hammer drills...and screwdrivers w numbers and settings and torques and clutches . I A great gift but Im like what the heck are these numbers? So no need for countersink bits w this. I forgot about 'See Jane drill' shes a good instructor too!! thank you
