Most of my videos revolve around creating in-depth content for Bully: Scholarship Edition (aka Canis Canem Edit) and I prefer to make content based around content people may not know about it, like the cut content
Currently, I have the following series:
Bully Beta: Where I analyse the cut and changed content for Bully, this varies from storyline changes, features, characters and much more. In this series I do my own analysis and try my hardest to source as much material as I possibly can, be it from the game files, or pre-release stuff.
Bully Mysteries: In this series I try and dig quite a bit into the lore of Bully, analysing Bullworth and what secrets we may not know.
Mobile ripoffs: A slightly more laid back series where I play through some horrendously bad ripoffs of Bully.

Ok so, to start it off, minor changes are often results to beta testing, so its nothing new here. As for the interiors, my guess is, that they didnt really care. After all they completed San Andreas earlier, and during the development of that game they decided that interiors dont have to match with exteriors. Mostly because only hardcore map explorers noticed that. This is why when they made Tenements, they could've focused on level design, instead of sticking with limited space. Same with bmx park, after they designed the place devs probably thought that putting such a bit building in New Coventry was a bad idea because it would look unfitting, so they pretty much shrank it. Tbh we are still lucky to have this in game, as there are deleted buildings like the mill. As for junkyard, there may be a whole different reason to not include this in the game. They probably had frame drops, or even game freezes due to having quite big portion of the map to render. Keep in mind that this game is based off Vice City, a game that was an unoptimised mess for PS2. Even though Bully at PS2 is running smoothly, and fairly glitchless, I experienced a freeze. In general it is still quite a lot of stuff left to at least give us an idea what was changed. Sometimes I just dont understand the very minor changes, like mentioned 3 windows thay became 2, in a completely meaningless building... guess thats Rockstar at its finest. Maybe getting on the spazz industry building was supposed to be one of those hidden easter eggs. I know in GTA there's certain packages you can only get with stunt jumps or platforming other buildings. Like it was their intentionally for players to get a bonus in Tagging by exploring

My only guess is that the people who did the interiors didn't really communicate with whoever designed the map or exteriors. Or they just had free reign

I feel Scholarship edition was mostly made so it'd be on something other than PS2. Especially since the original game released so close to the 360's release

I'll always love Bully, but it's story really doesn't hold up today. That can be forgiven, as I'm sure players back then just didn't care. But like, it's never really explained why Jimmy wanted to go after the cliques or why Gary does any of the shit he does other than "he's just crazy." Even crazy people follow a train of logic. And no, cut content doesn't count. That's why I believe Bully deserves a remake, there's a lot of material and potential for a psychologically-interesting plot that's never been realized.
The sound effects on Anniversary Edition are certainly a reason you should buy it, all males make a chipmunk sound when they die

All this talk on morality and blah blah blah "Change the record, DJ" -Luis I don't know why there would be a pretense of morality choices in GTA when I just end up killing everyone anyway. What's so different about killing Jason vs hundreds of other biker mooks? All the bikers do is shoot dope and ride bikes all day. Jason was the Lost's pimp, he was going to turn Faustin's daughter out. So forget him and all those bikers (yes, TLaD is my least favourite GTA experience) What's so different about killing Dwayne or Derrick vs all those other drug dealers and drug users? Dwayne's just a miserable old dolt despite getting rich off of drugs just like Playboy, who is younger and has whole life ahead of him. And Derrick's a terrorist who snitched out all his mates. And ends up ODing anyway, in hindsight (Packie confirms his death in V). It isn't very viable to put a moral spin on a series where the main gameplay element is killing. It's outright dumb. Niko berates himself on killing but an average playthrough will amass somewhere around 300 kills and this being GTA, of course you'll pop off and go on a recreational killing spree every now and again. And that's ok, GTA is set in a world full of crooks and degenerates. And you're one of them. In hindsight, if they were going to make a re-tread of III (gun for hire in big city with the mafia/mafya playing a big role), they could have just went all in and I wouldn't have minded. The gunfights and battles are the best part of the game for me, so they could have easily just cut out all the mopey stuff and have the protagonist just be a mob enforcer and place the story entirely on the Sopranos-based side (a re-tread of LCS), which ends up taking a large part of the playtime *anyway* .

The little Serbian sprinkled in throughout the game would be an interesting effect... had the actors even heard a lick of Serbian before embarking on their roles. I remember when I was a kid, as a speaker of Serbo-Croatian, it took me out of the moment just how cringe Michael Hollick's attempt at speaking Serbian is. Not only his piss poor inflections and tonation, but also the writers literally translating from English. It is *painfully* obvious they avoided using Serbian as much as possible because they knew they lacked knowledge. "Here in America, we speak English!" -Roman Even as a kid, I knew, that's just an excuse.
Honestly, That Special Someone kind of comes out of nowhere. You get lost in all the gun for hire, high octane action missions (which I love) and then the game is like "ok, enough of that" and suddenly you're in the end game with One Last Thing... It can be really jarring.
Well, if you've played SA before, then you know the Goverment worker is one of the few men of their word. Continued with Wade Heston (CTW), Thomas Stubbs (TLaD) Dave Norton (V) and Agent 14 and Karen Daniels (Online). They have no reason to mess with the player, it's a pure professional relationship, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.
The Yugoslaw war angle is potentially interesting, but it, or his nationality, really doesn't tie all that much into Niko. Niko, supposedly a Serb, doesn't even have a Serbian actor. "Niko" means "nobody" in Serbo-Croatian and they just wanted someone who was an outsider to the USA, someone with nothing but a bloody past trying to fit into the civilization, society and order of NYC. Coincidentally, the closest conflict available at the time were the Yugoslav wars and they just went from there, using it as just a backdrop. Niko might as well be a Russian or Ukranian Slav or heck, some Syrian or something, and it really wouldn't change much. That, and the whole beginning is a "rip off" (like most of the GTA series) of Brat (Brother) 2, a Russian movie with similar themes of alienation through immigration and east vs west mentalities and whatnot. Some of the music on Vladivostok is from the OST of that movie.
