Skateboarding was added pretty late in development, I imagine this was mainly ment to test bicycles

I believe it could've been possible, as bully's development was in full swing by 2003-2004, which was around the time SA was in development/finished, where the skateboard was cut from. I guess they would've wanted a kid-themed game to have skating in it, as it seemed pretty odd that a gangster would have been into the skate scene. (Though the early 1990s was the explosion of skating in the mainstream again.) But where would the skatepark have been located at?

Hm, I’m not very sure but, I think it would probably be in new Coventry or in the Observatory, I know the observatory wasn’t a skate park in the beta but it’d be cool if it was.

@@weirdface1846 blue skies is too poverty stricken for that, sure there might be skateable spots there, but no actual skatepark, cuz you need a little money to have a skatepark, and new coventry isnt as bad as blue skies

Big love Nathan, been watching your videos for years now. Makes me happy this masterpiece still has such a fan base

To me, it looks like this was cut to meet the deadline for the game release. Only good reason to get rid of this is the fact it's very buggy in this state. It could have made a good piece of set-dressing, if the collisions worked, and there were some skater students doing tricks, even if those tricks weren't possible by the player. However, proper momentum/physics would have still been necessary for Jimmy to not get stuck. The fact it is mostly textureless demonstrates that this area was using unique WIP models, or needless textures were deleted to ensure the game would fit to DVD.

I will never get tired of this game and it’s beta content

At first I thought that this might've been a map from Thrasher - also a Rockstar game - but after seeing back through the games levels, I havent found any similarities. Its also definetly not a San Andreas skatepark. You are right, that it seems weird, they made this area So big if they wanted only a test map. But then again remember that in San Andreas you have got a huge unused interiors like SFPD or Winter Saint Marks

But if we Moved the map over to Gta 5 and started modding there is already mods for BMX and skateboard customization and tricks. Also enhanced combat, graphics, and 1000s of mods to customize bullworth into the the underfunded school it is

It would be awesome if the skates mechanics were tony hawk based... could be NPCs skating in the skate park and missions that you would have to do skate tricks like grinding and stuff

Nathan, I see u're running on 60+ FPS. Is there a way to Mod Bully over 60FPS with no bugs/acceleration? And that brings another thing to the table: if the test on 3:43 was made on 30FPS, would this happen? Cheers from Brazil

This was recorded on the Wii Debug build, which, despite being able to run higher than 60, is still locked to 30. There is an option to unlock the FPS in the debug build. The only way to play above 30 fps on PC, is to lock it to 60 via silentpatch.

bmx and skateboard tricks are my favourite removed features, i'll never forgive rockstar for removing them

a skating park couldve been awesome, maybe in like bullworth town or something but at least we have the place in new coventry

a skate park would fit well in New Coventry or the Industrial park.

"Try to run away from the bully after he dies. . ." in the final game, no one could die right? was it ever planned for people to be able to kill NPCs

Pretty sure you can do the bike tricks on wii.
