I'm trying to do this in the Philippines so their electricity is different. However I had thought about just replacing everything there as it's not very much at all

This battery required 6000x inverter or any other brands would work? As Growatt inverter?

Excellent. Could you add some pictures to clearly explain the no and size of solar panels required to coordinate with your built system.

I've been trying different mounting angles for my panels & I discovered something curious. When my panels are at 90⁰ to the sun I get the highest peak output, but I get the highest kwh per day, along with the highest sustained peak of approximately 6 hours, from laying my panels flat on my lawn. This makes no sense to me, but my conclusion, then, is to forget the mounts/racks & just lay them all flat. You have any input/pro-vs-con on this?

If I use this inverter 6000 XP and do not interact with the grid, do I need permits to do my solar system? Thank you for all the info that you provide.

What about if you reverse polarity hook up does it damage the inverter

For any power you send back into the grid, It should be illegal for power companies to pay you anything less than what they charge customers per kwh! And it should be illegal to charge customers a fee to connect their solar system to the grid! Power companies should also not be able to refuse to allow customers to connect their solar system to the grid.

Between the clicking every morning and the lack of cheap panels for this thing, it's a hard pass. I really regret buying this when I could have made my own. It's a slick looking POS though tbh.

Can you please show the UL rating on your PV disconnect? And can you please show where there is a rapid disconnect near the main to shut down all PV and batteries associated with the property. Thank you

Will, I've been following your channel, but why have you not gone directly to the manufacturer and tested their product? Let's be safe to assume that every product you are testing is made in China, why have you not reached out to a Chinese manufacture and asked them for their most current model? Maybe you are only interested in production and sales North American. But, I do believe you should be paying attention to the actual assembly lines and UL listings that are being produced by any and all product. Why not give everybody a fair shake. Isn't that what you're all about is giving a fair shake? Do you need to get the free product? Or are you willing to purchase the product to give it the fair shake?

Good job. But don't I want the Panel with the HIGHEST Wattage out put? Because Cost is relative, unless you mean one panel is double the price of another? Right? Cheers!

This post is dated may 23 , 2024. It is absolutely amazing all the changes and where we have come since this video.!!!!! I had a Kodiak first I sold it and bought a Inergy flex , i also have a bluetti ac200p in my most recent purchase is the ecoFlo delta pro3600 And now it just became outdated! Looking forward to see what the next seven years brings!!! Thanks for your diy channel, will….. you were so young !!! Ps. There’s something about the size and not having cables that I just love my Inergy flex! I also love how the flex will wake up in the morning and start recharging with solar panels hooked up.

Is there some place where there is a guide top to bottom as how to charge an EV from solar? Unfortunately at my house in the Canyons there is too much shade on the house by Oak trees that make solar for the home not feasible. However, the garage is the one place that gets decent sun, especially in the summer. I want to install solar panels on the garage for the SOLAR PURPOSE (<---see what I did there) of charging an EV. The vehicle would be home in the garage most of the daylight hours. So even if I only got 20 miles or so charge each day from the panels that would be enough to essentially charge the EV entirely with SOLAR. So I guess I need to START with installing all of the solar panels on the garage. So I'd like to START with the buying the solar panels and the hardware/cables, etc. and do the project a bit at a time. I am in no rush I could mount a few panels whenever I felt the need to and eventually after installing all the panels than purchase the equipment necessary to connect the power into the garage/inverter/batteries, etc.

I can pull my vehicle into the carport and plug it into my cabin and it will charge my batteries no matter the day or night I can start my 12-volt generator and I can charge my batteries in my house are on my car I can walk into any auto parts store and buy the stuff I need a light bulb a fuse or even a breaker for 12 volts all of my 12 v truck appliances go from the truck to the house to the car to my boat that has three 12v batteries and as far as I know I have never found a 48 volt battery for my car my truck or my boat?? I want the 12-volt route because I started out in an old Winnebago! So this is why all of my stuff is 12 volt now I put too much money into it just to start over to please somebody else!!

7+ months after receiving a bad 24v battery Signature finally confirmed they received the 24v low voltage since day 1 battery but they don’t know when a replacement will be available. What a nightmare to TRY to deal with them!!

My electricity bill says Consumption 579.000 kWh / Daily average 19.966 kWh, measured over 29 days.so what size battery would I need? I am a newbie at solar and want to move to some sort of solar power but they are so expensive in South Africa

I'm assuming the battery would be recharged daily right? so I would kind of need like an Ecoflow Delta Pro? I read that has a 3.6-25kWh Capacity. so the battery just needs to last daily until the next day on sunshine? Total newbie please forgive me

The problem with 48 volt is the thing you point out the amount of solar to power it up.. not every trailer can have a minimum of 800 w of panels. In my case I can barely fit 3 panels 200 w each. As much as I want to use the eg4, there is just no way to use it in my case.. I think I can use a 24v but when I look at it, the cost is really not that much different than 12v, and really 85%of the things in my trailer use 12v. Do you think it's worth it to even run 24v? I guess the wire would be cheaper, but in my case, the longest wire will be 1 foot.

I ordered a second battery for this. I intend to put both batteries on the floor side by side and then put the main unit on top of them. Then I can twist the cables in a loop and they don't stick out and there's no risk of it tipping over.
