Thanks so much! I've been waiting for this unit review for over a year! Great to see it coming to market. Already thinking about how I can gut my lead acid RV system and put this in. I've always wanted a system I can keep in the RV and run a cord inside my garage to add the RV solar + lithium batteries to my home system when I'm home 👍 Could probably do that with other options, but the battery pairing here might make it easier. Cost might be a bit of a sticking point though.

There is no way these units are any indication of how much progress has been made at reducing cost of installation: From £200 per kW of inverter output and £100 per kW of MPPT solar input just 18 months ago, we have now moved to £50 for kW for both - and in the same box - with data logging, smart functions and WiFi. Its hard to keep up with everything. I believe ANENJI is the brand to watch. Google it.

I watch your videos religiously. I'm not electric friendly at all, but am trying to learn. My wife and I purchased a plot of land and we're so far from utilities that we need off grid systems. I believe something like this or the EG4 system you have is what we'll need.

Hello Will, I have been following your videos since back when you were operating out of an RV. Thank you for such a massive amount of unbiased information. I'm having a problem with my renogy 200 amp hour lithium iron phosphate batteries. I originally bought two of them. After one year one of them failed and was sent back to renogy in California. They replaced that battery. Now I have another battery that has failed it refuses to charge above 25%. The other battery works just fine using the same solar system in my RV it is all renogy 400-watt s of solar panels, 40 amp mppt charger, DC to DC charger, 3k charger inverter. I am one-hundred-per-cent electric in my RV. I don't know if I should stick with renogy or switch to a different type of battery the original reason for all the renogy equipment was it was available through a big-box store where I had a credit card.

We have run our lift when it is connected to our inverter and found it works best if you release the cable with the lift in a locked position before you try. In that way, there is some slack in the cables and this gives the motor a chance to spin up and start pumping fluid before the cable gets tight enough to start lifting the ramps and thus the vehicle weight. Worth a try.

Hi Will - Great video content. Thank you for providing these videos as they are very educational. I was interested in getting the Hysolis Apollo 5K Generator, however, I want to wait to see a good review by you or other independent content providers on the Echo Flow Delta Pro Ultra. I would like to better understand how these two Solar Generators stack up against each other and which one you think is Better for Home use as a backup system.

One feature I will be doing on my own eventually, considering that inverters are mostly most efficient running near max power, I think having a low power inverter ( running lights, tv etc. and a 2nd inverter for hi power runs ( electric lawnmower , washing & dryer etc.

Hi Will, great review. I almost pulled the trigger yesterday on the EcoFLow Delta Pro on Prime Day, but remembered seeing your review last month and watched it again. I was ready to get the 2 EF and combiner cable for about what one of these runs, but decided to go with what seems the better-built/optioned unit and future expandability/options. My question is, if I buy one 5k unit now, and add another one next year (budget and all, lol) would there be a concern with different battery ages, if I want to go split phase/240v joining them together?

Hello Will, You never cease to amaze me. You come across with a clear explanation it seems simple for you to compare the end results. Some time you get a little uppity but it's well chosen it's a clear sign of the have, and have knots. I have been following you from the beginning in the old classy motorhome. You came up with some incredible ideas as usual like using the Tesla battery. I'm just an old geezer that is yet to complete my system due to cost. I have been able to install for 250 W solar panels in conjunction with 2 MPPT controllers. I was never able to move up to lithium batteries I'm still running on lead acid and they just can't keep up. So that being said if for some reason you find yourself with a couple of extra lithium batteries that you don’t need, I would sincerely appreciated them. If not you take care and stay safe, thank you.

I'm an Exo flow guy cuz I just picked one up online for $1,700. I don't think I'll be getting any other ones for a couple years. With my lift if I have a really heavy truck, I have to remember to lower onto the safety locks before I restart lifting if the vehicle is in the air. If I try to stop and restart lifting without lowering onto the locks the inverter won't start the motor. (5kw 240 single phase voltronic) it will on a car but not with my cummins.

Love your channel but you devote a lot of time to the charge controllers and inverters and all in one systems and batteries but I need to know about panels. Thank you for publishing such quality content. I may have to call them, but do you know if there are published specs on charging rates with the inverter settings on? I watched your video again and am concerned with having to have the inverter off to charge at faster rates. I am looking to replace a propane generator in a slide in truck camper. I want to make sure I don't oversize solar input and not be able to run high draw items like the ac and charge at the same time. Should I be concerned with this limitation of the Apollo 5k?
