Hoi will. Do you know if the lipo4 and lead battery both can set on ground . Reason is this. When installing an electrical installation on board a ship, it is important to prevent galvanic corrosion. Galvanic corrosion is the eating away (corroding) of metal under the influence of an electric current. Victron and other company's tell me that i have to set the minus of the battery all of them on the ground plate of the boat . Problems is that by mix set nothing is tell about it. I have contact victron about it a week ago and still no answer over this . A boat is beult by Din / iso 10133 Or Iec 60092-507/2 Alle ac and dc ground connection have to be in one point . The lipo4 is not connect on a dyno . Its connect by solar power or battery charger. Thank you if you will look in to this.

Thank you for this review. It is because of you and a few others who are willing to take the time for this kind of work that has caused the manufacturers to improve their products. It becomes obvious, even to the most incompetent manufacturer that they can't make sales of junk batteries. I can only wonder how many have gone out of business because of these tear downs. I'm sure many have improved their product and re branded. Evolution in action.

I just bought 4 of the 12v 230ah version. I waited a few weeks to order and unbelievably they added the low temp cutoff feature and did not raise the price...$669.29. Also I went online to see about coupons and found one that worked that was for $80.00 off!. What was even better is their delivery time...only 3 days (and I live in an extremely rural area). They are well packaged. Their user manual is also very thorough with only a few grammatical errors. Obviously I am very impressed by the company. If I ever have any issues I will add more.

That's Impressive I purchased the same battery, had the same issue, and I had a rude sob email me back with horrible English trying to tell me that my charger was too small and not recommended. When I got the battery to wake up, it was because I hooked up a 12v 1 amp charge to it, which restarted the BMS. When I followed up with the rep about the BMS needing rebooting, he continued to say my charger was the issue. However I'm more apt to believe the battery overheated in my car while discharging on a cooler on a 98°f day. He then proceeded to tell me never to hook up a 12v 1amp charger, although that's a very safe way to reboot the BMS. Few things 1. My 100 amp hr battery has never had an issue with my 20 amp charger 2. I purchased a 40 amp charger for the 200 amp hr battery, that has a 12v 1amp BMS reset built in. 3. I'm not certain I'm getting full capacity out of this rebranded 200 amp hr battery. If I had a capacity tester I'd run it through the paces, but for certain the customer service rep I had was ZERO help

I am thrilled to see this review as I recently purchased four of these TM 100 Ah Litime batteries for a reservation introductory price of $319. I received them about three weeks ago. They are a very nice looking battery and came packed about as well as anything could be. Very impressive manual packed in a nice silicon zip pack. I am using these for a portable solar generator I am building with two suitcase 200 watt panels and a 2000 watt inverter. My only mistake was not thoroughly thinking things out. I started the project with a 12v sytem in mind but later realized I could easily had gone 24 V. I still can, the only purchase I would have to make is another inverter but I will run 12v for now. The inverters I am looking at run close to $300 so I will just live with what I have for now. It would have been so much easier and neater to run the smaller cable.

The first two Ampere-Time batteries have been cycling to about 50% levels daily for a year fault free. The two new Li-Time are to increase the total amp hour rating of my 12 volt system. All four of my LiFePO4 batteries lack of low temp cutoff. To get around the lack of I have a simple external temp probe taped to the outside of the battery case with the monitor set to trip at 4 degree C which turns ON or OFF the Solid State Switch between the solar panels and the MTTP charge controller. The 50 Amp Solid State Switch with heat sink and temp. probe with monitor was about $50.

I bought this battery because I saw a youtuber review it. I use it in my Hammerhead pool cleaner, which uses a trolling motor and calls for a deep cycle battery. I've been using blue top Optimum batteries for 15 years, but they are so damn heavy. On and off the truck hitch, up and down stairs, to the pool and back, up to 25 times in a 12 hour day. I'm extremely happy with it being about HALF THE WEIGHT, never ran out of juice, and doesn't slow down as the day goes on. We'll see how long it takes my abuse.

@@my_channel_44Wow, an insight I've been looking for, best Lifepo4 Battery service Life assessment I have come across so far, is Lifepo4 batteries treated properly, is maximum 10 years Service Life tbh. a 15 year Service Live with Li Time ones slashes the Cost per year significantly . If Li Time will do 15 years, I'm in, otherwise I had planned to stick with High Quality AGM's as I know I can get up to 30 years from those, once you know how to treat them right - never let them get below an 80% state of Charge, and the Recharge Cycles Flatline and never drop, with Lifepo4 it's a 50% State of Charge to stay above, and don't charge above 85% Capacity or Fast Charge them, is best knowledge I have come across so far for Lifepo4. I'd really like to see how Li Time manual are now recommending Customers to treat their batteries tbh. It was Amperetime who told me discharge below 50% Capacity and you lose Recharge Cycles with Lifepo4. Things may be getting interesting ? 🤔 Best Wishes. Bob in Wales. 👍✨️✨️✨️

I just tried to order this battery via your link. LiTime offered an amazing (pre-sale offer?) discount of $30 which caused me to "pull the trigger". The price "jumped" back up to $369 when I checked out via PayPal so with taxes it just became too expensive for my budget. I did not complete the sale. I am so sad the website is not 100%..In any case, thanks for the great video Will.

Check out the 230amp as it has low temp, too and a 200amp BMS at around $600. Unless it being cheaply made this might be the best battery sold at this price. Let rip it open and find out.

I bought the bigger one (230 Amp Hour)... and installed it in the pocket in my truck bed in front of the drivers side rear wheel left open from my slide out bed. I have a 5000 watt inverter and a battery doctor to keep the battery from pulling my starting batteries down too low. I have a permanently installed 40 Amp charger for when I don't have a loooong drive for my two alternators to be able to charge this fast enough. I use it to charge my Sony Battery Station for my drone. I got the basic ones, (two of them) without cold weather protection and returned them immediately for the 230 amp hour one. They took great care of me and were easy to deal with. Very impressed with the company, product and customer service.

Good review and tempting... I would want 4 in series, and a method of balancing them, which would require another specialist 14v balancer if it exists, or disassembling for the cells, making a new battery with extra 16S LFP BMS.

LiTime sells return and used batteries on their website. I purchased a used 230Ah battery for $577 w/free shipping, tested out at 234Ah on my tester that I have calibrated. Also put it in my Featherlite stacker car hauler to try the lift, it had no problem pushing 255 Amps for about 6-8 seconds running the lift. Only a short run because I had to stop the lift (it had a car on it and would have hit the ceiling). I also ran the A/C on my camper for about 1 1/2 hours pulling 130-140 amps without issue. I'm very happy with this LiTime battery..

I've been running my off-grid cabin on two of their 12V 200AH (in series to 24V) for the last 2.5yrs with no problems at all. A neighbor also bought them and we contacted support in China over an issue and they got right back to us. Ampere, uh I mean, Li Time seems to want to compete with the better known manufacturers.

@ Will - Pretty funny b/c I had this one in my Amazon cart, but am always dubious about shipping times/availability and was holding off, then it was like "Okay, Will beat this up, I'm good to go!" I'll let you kow how I fare. I use these mainly for powering a garden shed in Florida, so the low temp shutoff, I'll likely never get to test, but I'm glad to know it passes muster ;-)

So, I've watched a lot of your videos, (great job!) and I have learned so far that solar panels like being cold, and not hot, batteries do not like being cold, and can't handle taking a charge if it's freezing cold; but now I am curious if heat affects batteries? Does it help or hurt them? I don't mean super excessive heat but say an RV going off grid in the desert and it gets really hot on the campers, say 100 degrees. Does it reduce the battery power the way a cold day would?

AS far as you complaining about their rebranding. Since they only deal with lithium options (hence the LI). You can still look them up under Ampere time and their old website still works, but once you click on anything battery related, it takes you to the Li Time section. So they are kinda in the middle of it still. I have a 100ah battery from them that doesn't have low temp charging, but its been working great so far, and at thinned of the year ill be getting two larger batteries from them. Nice to know they are slowing coming around to modernize the electronics.

Will, I love your videos. I'm a big fan. We've recently had a couple of times that the grid has gone down here in Yuma so I'm wondering, can an off-grid solar system be used as a backup for grid-tied solar for when the grid goes down? Would it work if a transfer switch was wired between the two systems with the primary side of the transfer to the grid and the secondary source wired to the off-grid side? Would that be enough back feed to the grid-tied inverter to kick on and then feed both systems' loads?
