    Question….Early in the video you place a metal “shim” between the back of the chuck and the ring to get a nice straight profile. What is the shim??? Thanx

    That is a flat drill guide. Specifically "Big Gator Tools SDGMINI Mini V-DrillGuide" that fits between the jaws of my lathe, and also allows the ring to sit in there. It's also a very useful drill guide when not being misused like this

    If you let one of the bees alone on stage one for about 15 minutes in the beginning, it will tweek the game,. The bad guys not shoot only fly.

    Those thin saw blades are a nightmare! I felt your pain/frustration when it snapped 😂 I used to go through a tonne of them at uni cutting out awkward metal shapes for jewellery etc 🤦‍♀️

    Best advice I can give for getting farther - when it starts getting harder, focus on clearing out either left or right half of screen. Enemies on the left side of formation come down and go right, and vice versa. So if you clear out the right half of the formation, you can dodge to the right much more safely, and head back left to shoot more when you feel it's safe. Keeping reds alive isn't a bad idea to score some extra points in the earlier levels, but if you're really trying to get as high a score as possible, I think clearing the levels ASAP is a better strategy, for most part - you get the higher point value if you shoot them while flying in anyway, and if you're fast enough, you can have most if not all of the screen clear. Just make sure to leave two+ boss galagas at top of screen, because they'll never do the tractor beam if there's only one in formation. lol

    If you have a few, good, sharp, high quality hand files, you don't really need a grinder, or belt sander to shape, and sharpen an axe. It's all too easy to slip up and take off a little more material than you had planned too when using grinders and belt sanders. Also, it's easy to get complacent with a grinder, and over heat the axe head, in turn, ruining the steels tempering.

    Cool video! I love seeing people sculpt. It's funny how your thoughts during the process are the same type of thoughts I have. Anyway, I wanted to say it's crazy how you molded that with the nose on!!! You're brave lol! I'm about to start my second resin mask and I want to do a mask with protrusions this time and I'm thinking of cutting things like horns/noses off to do a two part mold or something then re-attach after casting. However, I'm not sure how to do that and keep the curvature continuous looking so that's why I was watching youtube videos today... xD

  • @MaxPowerCrafts
    @MaxPowerCrafts Жыл бұрын

    I think I was like “it’ll be fine” and then it was immediately not for the nose heh. As for keeping curvatures and making other models and attaching you just gotta connect them with epoxy or some kinda job weld and sand them down or make a registration mark you cut across and fill in later. You can do it!!!

    Hey man I can't see to get the colour right I failed multiple times trying out different colour what colour or number are you using bro ?

  • @MaxPowerCrafts
    @MaxPowerCrafts Жыл бұрын

    Hi, the colors I mixed for the base mask color were peach, and drops of green white, blue red, or whatever I thought would push the color the way it needed to go to eyeball it, it was my first airbrush project and I apologize that I wasn't more clear in what I was using. But if it's helpful. I know Peach was the base color I used, white to get the saturation a little less, and just drops of green and or blue push it to a less extreme peach. For lighter tones I almost exclusively just added white I believe, and for darker, I added a dark purple, in small amounts, and very very limited amounts of black, if any black at all (I can't remember but black and white should be used super sparingly in any paints) I hope that is helpful!

    I'm glad to see someone better than me, in this case really good at a game actually record a good video! So many reviews or look-backs have someone who can make reasonably good videos but can't play worth shit! I never made a challenge stage past the second, I think. I wonder how many there are until they repeat? Talking while playing is not a good idea. You may as well just play well, then go back and record dialog over it. My cousin's son didn't want to play video games, but just watch others play video games on KZread. I asked if he wanted to see games I played as a kid. "No," he said. Then I saw someone (Fluffy?) talk about confronting his kid who just wanted to watch people play video games because they were "experts." So I guess that's a thing and my cousin isn't retarded!

    The name of this joint is "half-lap" When chiseling, try to have the workpiece as anchored as possible so all your hammer energy goes into cutting and not moving the piece. From your description that top may be MDO - Medium Density Overlay. It is MDF core with plywood veneers on the outside.
