How To Make a Hammered Copper Ring

This is a special video for me. My mom has let me make things on a bench in her kitchen for a few years while I save money... and spend it on ring making supplies... and this is my favorite style of hammered copper ring that I have learned to make.Special thanks to Andi for showing me how to make soldered copper rings in person. I still am very bad at making bezels. Between then and watching people make rings for so so so many hours on youtube I am enjoying doing this all as a hobby. You don't need a rolling mill, or fancy tools, but I have them and I like them : )
I occasionally post the same stuff I post on instagram, and nobody looks at it on twitter, which I'm fine with : )

If you file copper and keep the fillings/ particles it actually fills the tiny holes that you find in the grain. Granted you've gotta remove the sanding dust with a fine paint brush to clear out the "holes" before adding the particles So once you add your CA finish it looks like shiny copper dust or like the wood has copper in its "veins". Not sure if I even explained the process accurately.
