Prevents copper ring or jewelry turning fingers green or oxides

Firstly i would like to apologize for my poor English, as i am too lazy to create a script. I decided to do this video was due to fact that there is not much information or solution online for this problem, when google most of them recommended putting a coating of nail polish, and it need to reapply it after a few days. So i came up with a much more permanent method.
Do note try this method at your own risk, i am not responsible for your jewelry
Here's a better illustration:
Items Needed:
.Small dish
.Rag/cloth
.WD40
.Brasso or any copper polish
.Rust-oleum Clear Enamel Spray
Methods:
1. Spray WD-40 to purge out access moisture or remove stubborn stains (soak about 10-20 Mins)(longer for really stubborn stains), wipe it off with the rag/cloth
2. Soak in Brasso or any copper polish for about 30 - 40 mins, until the green sludge came out and than wipe it off with a rag/cloth
3. Lastly spray a thin layer of Rust-oleum Crystal Clear Enamel all over the ring, do take note to spray it a a certain distances for a even coating, also do not spray too thick as it might affect the shininess of your jewelry.
4. Give it about half a day to one day for it to dry.
I been wearing this ring for one whole day and even wash my hand with it with no issues, also no long finger turning green.
Usually my ring oxides in about 10-20 mins after i worn it, now after applying this coating, it still the same color even if there's moisture.
Hope this work for you too!

Thanks for this! Don't apologize you're way better than most people who only speak English and suck at it. Funny story: I went to a hardware shop and asked for D24 instead of WD-40 everyone was confused but they knew what I wanted. Then I realised D24 is a Durian! 😂

Your English pronunciation is amazing! For a glossier finish, try a high gloss krylon art finish. It's the one I use. I've only used it on pendants I've made, not rings. Can you update us later, when the finish comes off, as to how long it lasted, how often you wore it etc? In the video you said you only wore the ring for a day. Beeswax doesn't work as I've read it should. Doesn't stop the oxidation! The spray paint seemed to stop it and maintain colour. ArtResin seems to work well too but it's hard to get perfectly around a ring. I make molds for pendants and cast them around my copper. Keep us posted on how this holds up long term!

Brasso is a mechnical polish. It is has a fine abrasive (rouge) suspended in ammonia. It works by rubbing it on the article you wish to polish. Soaking the article in brasso does not do much of anything. Rub grasshopper, rub then wipe clean.

Good video and your English is fine. Good information...I recently purchased a piece of gold jewelry (Used) on eBay. The item had a coating on it and never saw this before. Either the seller wanted to increase the weight of the pendant or possibly was allergic to the other 10 parts of alloys mixed with the 14K Gold such as nickel, copper, silver, zinc, etc... For whatever the reason the enamel or nail polish was applied, I'm sure it would help with scratching over time and keep your items looking new. Question: Did you ever try Brasso & WD40 on Silver Coins or Silver Jewelry? Thanks again!

Good tip man 👌. In Ireland we have alot of old copper coins and I make "coin rings" from these and even American clad coins so I will try this on both of those and see hopefully it lasts a long time.. Have u heard of "jewlers clear coat" u should try this too for long results.. Or the best one I found is "uv resin" u dip the coin/ ring into this resin and then cure it under Uv light for few Mins or sun for 30mins and it gives a hard clear coating much much longer than nail polish 😉. I attach small piece of wire to inside the ring with tiny spot of glue so I can dunk the ring in resin then when I remove I take off access resin with cue tip/cotton bud the hand it while curing. To remove the glue and wire is easy, and just file down the glue spot on the inside. "I shouldn't share my secrets" haha follow me at kendal_rings on Instagram ✌
