I use my scrubba wash bag on every trip. I do a cycling holiday every second year and we camp along the journey. It also doubles as a dry bag so 2 in one. I used it to float down the Rhine last year. Perfect for minimalist travel when you don’t always have access to a sink or bathtub.😊
After watching your video, I decided to buy the Plaka Explore Walking and Hiking Sandals for Women. They arrived yesterday and I wore them out last night although they are cushion well loved the heel, the strap was a nightmare my small pinkie toe hurt from the minute I put them on, but I decided to keep them on, nonetheless. As the evening went on my big toes increasing became numb. Needless to say, I returned them today. Too bad they are cute just not for me.
@@deperugini oh no! So sorry they didn’t work for you 😢
For travel I prefere light, covered shoes for protection not sandals.❤
I agree with @teresabradley about sneakers. What is the perfect all-purpose sneaker to dress up or down and walk miles in comfort? Like Vivaia knit sneaker, Adidas Samba, etc.
Loved the video. I saw some new sandals that look interesting. By being able to see the shoes and hear your ideas on style, it helps us see where our style tastes are the same or differ. But your video also shows why it is important for footwear to try shoes on. Half of those sandals would never have come home with you if you tried them on in a store simply because they didn't fit. Thank you for describing your feet at the start of the video and for recognizing that feet come in 3 dimensions. One suggestion for the video would be to show (in text) the weight of each pair of shoes. It is a measurable objective value. Doesn't matter which measurement unit you use, but keep it consistent through the same video. After all, twice the weight is twice the weight. If you think it would break up the flow of the video, you could always make a chart to show at the end.
Thank you!! That is a great idea about the weight, I will definitely try to remember to do that in future videos 😊
As a pilots wife, I never wear open toe/slides. If something happens could u walk over fire/sharp metal ? That is if u still have shoes on!
Your top choice is really surprising to me! It’s not one I would have looked at due to the strap material. I’ll be checking those out!
That was my concern too when I ordered them, but the straps are much softer than they look 😊
Fitful are not good. Try some of the new Sketchers.
I wear easy spirit traveltime to travel in as it's easy to slip on/off. I'd love for you to do the easy on/off and comfortable shoes to walk a mile in the airport or while traveling period. The traveltime tends to kinda slip while power walking through the airport.
Love this video! Some great suggestions. Two more ideas for consideration 1. A dressier sandal with a heel or wedge that is still very comfortable and light weight 2. A dressy closed toe shoe for cooler climate travel that is not a ballet flat which I find too flat and not comfortable for long term wear. Again comfortable and lightweight Thanks for testing all these shoes out for us.
I agree with you on the ballet flats, I need a little arch support too. Adding both of these suggestions to my running list ❤️
The blue silicone Amazon container could hold a toothbrush and tablets.
Yes! We love travel shoes reviews. Please do Timberland (they make sandals) and Joybees, which I personally like. Thanks!
The Scubba wash bag looks like it would be great to take to the beach for wet towels and swimsuits.
That's a great dress!!
Thank you for the informative video. I almost cheered when you got to the Plakas. I have 3 pair and have been wearing them for probably 3 years. Everything you say about them it 100% true. I have a couple with the heel strap you had on your video and one that is more of a flip flop type without the heel strap. Love them!!! Thanks again.
I'm getting ready to order the all black pair, love them so much! They are perfect for my trips to Puerto Rico 😊
One suggestion I have is from an unlucky restroom experience: if you hang your purse in that double hook in the toilet cubicle, please use the lower, smaller hook. I was in a cubicle & I saw a hand reach over the door and grab the strap of my purse off the top hook & bam!! My purse was gone!! The lower, recessed hook is much harder to navigate.
I have Tiva voya. They are slightly less utilitarian looking. They do have a ring around your great toe and elastic strap at the back. Good on slippery surfaces and quick drying.
Great video! These are my new faves: Crocs Unisex-Adult Getaway Strappy Sandals. Also oofos are great.
I'll check those out, thanks for the suggestions 😊
Did you have to size up or down on the cushion air?
I wear an 8 and ordered an 8, they fit perfectly... I've been wearing them a ton the past two weeks. They do come in half sizes and wide widths too, so you should be able to find ones that will fit 😊
Love it! I’d love to see non- athletic style sneakers next! The kind that looks good w a sun dress. Also, how long did you wear each sandal to test them? I often find what I think is an awesome shoe but after I wear them a few times they had issues.
For the ones that fit well straight out of the box, I wore each to run errands. I really did want to wear them around more and for a long distance, but it is just too hot right now. For future videos I want to wear the shoes more for a better review because I agree with you that sometimes the issues don't come up until you've had to walk a quarter mile or so in them.

I have had the Plaka sandals now for over a year and they have been game changing. I wear them everywhere now and definitely a great travel shoe.
dang it sounds like your daughter has great taste in shoes.
Maybe she should do the next shoe review video with me?! 😘
The Hero Clip is a better choice for the hook. You’re able to clip it on a bag and it’s always easy to find to flip it around to hand on the bathroom stall WALL. Better than the Door as it’s closer at hand so you could even put your hand on the bag while you’re seated.
What part of Puerto Rico was this? With the dock.
The old pier is over at Crash Boat Beach, near Aguadilla 😊
I love these kinds of reviews! We have similar tastes so I really enjoy your videos. I found the dress you’re wearing but in a halter style which I prefer. I am going to order the Utenga sandals…I love the look of the Taos but they’re over $300CDN 😢 and I don’t care for the look of your number 1 choice…
This is too much. How about just pack less stuff. Leaving for 5 days? Do you really need 5 pairs of socks, 5 undies, 5 bras, 5 undershirts? How about 2 or 3 pairs and wash when needed
Hi, my feet have the issues your feet have, especially n the narrow heal. I love my Skeechers, they feel and are very comfortable.
Definitely look at the Reef brand. I have walked miles in their flip flops with no problem. I am interested to see how their sandals are. Loved the video!
Travel closet??
Love this review video! Keep them coming!
I have neuropathy in my feet so I am very picky on shoes. Vionics are wonderful! ❤
I love Fitflops!!
I'm looking for tips on traveling to Ireland. I plan on going either this fall or in the spring.
My go to travel sandals are Birkenstock EVA Arizona or Gizeh. Lightweight & comfy.
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I have various styles of Birkenstocks. I do wear them in the plane and no that aren’t that heavy to pack. Plenty of styles.
I’m a Birkenstock lady.
As a retired teacher and one that has battled plantar fasciitis, I HIGHLY recommend fitflops. They come in different styles, and I would highly recommend the sales. The heel cushion and arch support are exceptional. I have a high instep and decent arch. All sorts of styles are available . . .
Love Taos worth every penny
My list Phone iPad Headphones Charges Lots of cash/rfid wallet My own toilet paper
If you can find Naot sandals, they’ll tick all the boxes - in my opinion 😊. I have 2 pairs, super comfortable.
I’ll look for those, thanks for the suggestion!
Loved the video. Would like your take on Skechers sandals - but not ones that have something between the toes. I don’t like to travel with that kind . I’m afraid it’d rub too much.
Yes, I like this kind of video. Maybe not so much descriptions.
Loved the video! I’m glad the Cushionaire sandals work for you but they are terrible for me. The quality, wear, and fit are nowhere near Birkenstock in my experience. Birks are so bulky to pack in my carryon but I’m not going anywhere without them. I’d love to hear what you think of Vionics!
I love my bendable phone stand. I’ve used it many, many times.
Love this video - blisters can ruin one's trip. I just purchased your fav's - thanlks!
Glad you like them! ❤️
Those Croc Miami toe sandals were PERFECT for me. I thought they might rub, but when my trusted Vivaia flats tore a blister on my heel during a trip to NYC, the Crocs came to the rescue and I walked many miles in them with no issues. If they fit your foot, it’s like walking on clouds. Got them in two colors now.
They’re so cute!!! I wanted to love them 😢
I just ordered a similar backpack from the same brand, in turquoise gradient. I’m excited about this purchase.
