The reason for the fur around the hood- you get it in subzero temp with wind & snow. The fur catches the snow preserving your face. I learned this in Canada in December, fur lined hoods are a game changer
I’ve been looking for a new travel puffer jacket and, after watching this video, ordered the TSLA jacket on Amazon. It arrived today and I am so happy with it! Thank you for doing this review, I really appreciate it.
These are my favorite videos from you, you rate them honestly, most channels just feel like commercials. Keep em coming! Also: I bought a beautiful puffer coat years ago, spent toooo much & on my first wear was at a bonfire & the thing got several little burn holes from sparks, so keep that in mind. The nylon shell is way fragile
This has been quite helpful! Would you consider doing one about packable jackets based on warmth?
Great video! First, I think it's really a challenge to find a puffer that gives you a waist! Just my observation but on camera, the TSLA (?) jacket looks too tight across the bust. It's not really giving you a waistline, just binding across the bust. Take a look back at the footage and see what you think. I live in a cold climate so i have quite a variety of jackets. For days that aren't bitterly cold and for packing, I love the 32Degree Ultra light packable. Light as a feather but provides just enough warmth. Also, a tip from another KZreadr is to roll up the jacket into its hood, then slide it into the bag.
Great review
I bough mine from Khols, it's down and packs well. I wear it a lot. I am fur hood, I like the look and the warmth.
Love this review! You pointed out features that are important with these puffers. I currently own a 32 Degrees jacket that I love, but the zipper isn't the best quality (it will separate occasionally), so I'm afraid to travel with it. I still love the weight and blue color of it, though. I bought one from Duluth (on sale, so it was around $37) that I know will travel well. The zipper is definitely better quality. Oddly enough, it didn't come with its own bag, so I'll either squish it into a gallon zip bag or use a small compression cube.
I LOVE the idea of things that fold back into itself like blankets, bags, towels, etc. but I feel like I need an engineering degree to do it 😅vso the separate pouch is handy. I think the 3rd jacket you tried on fits you the best. I normally order a size up BC I like to layer. I, too, went through a red jacket faze about 10 years ago 😅 Great video, thank you 😊
I love the blue colour on you.
It could be that you're supposed to pack the last jacket into its larger pocket? Although I guess it really doesn't matter because it was a fail in most other ways! I recently bought the Royal Matrix brand long puffy jacket from Amazon and like the fit and quality of that one. It is supposed to be packable as well, but I haven' t tried to pack in into its little bag yet. When it is zipped up the baffles end up being in more of a "V" shape, which is more flattering on me than the horizontal "stripes"!
Will you let us know how it wears???
Thanks for this honest fit review. I would have liked to have seen how effective they are in keeping a person warm & how the hoods fit because some hoods fall off my head very easily & I’m constantly holding it up, which is a major downside. Also if you don’t want to use the bag, could you fold the jacket up into its hood?
I gave up after 6 how-to videos. I packed it in a small compression cube.
I think the blue one is your color.
First, I would zip up any packable jacket to begin with
Thanks for doing this evaluation. A kind ask……. Please don’t call us “guys”. Guys aren’t your women viewers.
