The Haynes manual suggests leaving the master cylinder connected and pumping out the pistons (two at a time) with it. Makes sense if you don't have access to compressed air.

That's a good way as well. It does get a little complicated once you have one side out. Piston pliers work well if you do not have a compressor. I plan on uploading a video in the next few days to go over that way as well. Thanks for the tip.

From the looks of it, you did to your V4 what I have envisioned for my build. Meanwhile, on my 959, I've been having a bitch of a time getting carbon fiber parts that actually fit! Just a question, just rebuilt mine but I saw in the shop manual that the oil seal is supposed to be installed against the bearing what I first didi jut then the bearing hat resistance due to the contact with the seal, so I installed it like you did, but what is the correct way to install it?
@MotoGarageTV2 ай бұрын
Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. I would say go with the manual to be safe. However, the seal should not make contact with the bearing. You will run the risk of the seal prematurely wearing out and allowing oil to pass through. Go with what works. I have been running without issues ever since the upload of this video.
@stevebirkenkampf16322 ай бұрын
Hi, no problem thanks for the answer. I had my two first trackdays last week and yesterday and after both I noticed an oil leak at the weep hole. I did it like you in the video because juste like you said when I put it in like the manual says it makes contact with the bearing and you can really feel it how it's making it difficult to rotate. I hope it's just some oil residue from the installation otherwise I can go for a whole rebuild since the oil seal is hard to get out without removing the other parts sitting arround
@MotoGarageTV2 ай бұрын
@stevebirkenkampf1632 hopefully it's not leaking, and it's just build-up like you said. If it is leaking, double check that the seal was installed in the correct direction and that it's not compromised. Check and make sure the shaft is not bent. Let me know how it goes.
@stevebirkenkampf16322 ай бұрын
@@MotoGarageTV will be riding 2 more trackdays this weekend I'll let you know. And yes I checked, everything is installed like it should be. During the rebuild I even put a very thin coat of TB1215 on the oil seal (on the outside of course, not on the inside where the shaft goes) and it's seated very well, can't even push it out of position with a screw driver so that should be good. And shaft is new, I polished the old one to remove as much rust and dirt as I could but since it already had picking corrosion I said okey let's just put a new shaft aswell so I won't have to worry about the old shaft damaging the new seal

You're right, I recall saying that now. I made a video of the weight comparisons but never posted it. However, I can tell you these rims make the world of difference. With both looks and performance. Just a question, just rebuilt mine but I saw in the shop manual that the oil seal is supposed to be installed against the bearing what I first didi jut then the bearing hat resistance due to the contact with the seal, so I installed it like you did, but what is the correct way to install it?
Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. I would say go with the manual to be safe. However, the seal should not make contact with the bearing. You will run the risk of the seal prematurely wearing out and allowing oil to pass through. Go with what works. I have been running without issues ever since the upload of this video.
@stevebirkenkampf1632 hopefully it's not leaking, and it's just build-up like you said. If it is leaking, double check that the seal was installed in the correct direction and that it's not compromised. Check and make sure the shaft is not bent. Let me know how it goes.
@stevebirkenkampf1632 Sounds like you covered all the bases on that install. I'm leaning towards leftover residue, but keep a close eye on it. Good Luck
Where are the wheel weights before and after?
"Where?" or did you mean to say "what" are the wheel weights before and after? I never put them on a scale since KZread already had a ton of videos with that info. I installed these for weight savings and also astetics. If I were to guess they feel to be half the weight of the OEM rims
@@MotoGarageTV "Where" because in this video you said you were posting the video comparing the two. How have they held up and what are pros and cons?
You're right, I recall saying that now. I made a video of the weight comparisons but never posted it. However, I can tell you these rims make the world of difference. With both looks and performance. They're strong, durable, and have no issues so far. I've rode on some rough roads and a couple of tracks and would say they have about 300 miles of usage so far. I'm very happy with the investment.

I can help with that. Which parts were you interested in?
Все,что нужно)спасибо
Hello! Hello! It can be done without spacer kit fairing? It's obligatory to mount? Thank you
Hello, technically, you can still mount the fairing to the bike without the space kit. However, you will not have all points of contact secured, and that could cause problems.
Is there an orientation for the seals ? I heard something about a lip ? How do you know which way to install ?
There is, it's noticeable hard to mix up once you see the new seals. There are 2 sizes as well, which both have an orientation to them. Hope this helps.
Hi received the kit today but i cant seem to find the right orientation. Feels like a small lip but looks the same. How did you find the right orientation on the new seals ?
What's the name of the stand your using
The stand is called ABBA Skylift. KZread that name. They are awesome stands.
Did you take of the chain guard/splatter ? I try to see in your other videos but it wasn’t mentioned
Hey good eye,I did take it off. The mounting holes/ hangar were on the oem exhuast.
@@MotoGarageTV I see thank you
So if i wanted to i could even buy a v2 panigale and make it at least look like a superleggera? Because thats what i like most about the superleggera is the look and i dont think i will ever afford a real superleggera
Well, that makes two of us. I'm not sure about the V2. The SuperLeggera is based on the v4 platform. I'm sure you can get close, though.
Sweet bike. Great instruvtional video. Did the Manny (motomillion) haircut come with the forks?
LOL.... yeah, that's how you get the discount to be applied. You must have the same haircut.... Thanks LMAO
I appreciate your sence of humor
Top job easy to follow
I appreciate that. Thank you
Were you able to drive the bike with the db killers in? Or you left it without the db killers?
Not yet, but I'm going to this weekend if the weather holds up. I'll keep you posted. Thanks
