Ack! Blue Loctite, please. You are going to want to get that bolt out someday without having to heat it up.

The extraction is relative to the amount of Loctite you use.... fully saturated, you'll need heat, one or two drops, a little extra pressure on the wrench. It had red Loctite from the factory, no heat was required. 👍

Why not SD068? It has the mounting point build in like the stock one for a cleaner look. Just saying 🙏

2 reasons really, the main reason was to have the flexibility to swap this from one bike to another by just changing the bracket. I have the Street Fighter bracket already. The other is availability. The SD068 wasn't in stock at the time. I didn't want to wait any longer. But after realizing the damper was the same and the difference was mounting type, I went with the universal one.

It looks nice, I’m wondering if the difference is really noticeable? I did that ohlins damper on one of my other bike and it felt almost identical 🤔

Thanks, you couldn't feel the difference? When I adjusted the damper to the hardest setting, it felt extremely stiff. I left it on 8 clicks out, and it felt around what the stock damper felt like.

@@MotoGarageTV my damper was electronic, so I know is not as aggressive as the manual one.

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I can see the difference being minimal with the electronic one. I'm not too familiar with the electronic one, but the manual one can be set to the lowest, which is almost no feeling, all the way to the hardest for like drag racing which feels like the steering is locked.

What is the difference really can you feel it

  • @MotoGarageTV

The main difference is adjustability. You have control over the resistance. You can tighten or soften the steering based on the application. For example.... if you're on the track, you may want to stiffen up the steering versus if you are just riding around town, you may want it a little softer. The OEM damper is one setting for all applications

@@MotoGarageTV To be honest for this money and because this is the best of the best Ducatis how come it doesn't come stock with that adjustable steering damper...
