does China= cheaper? I’ve been to mainland China several times and there are brands there I’ve never even heard of in the west for price points beyond my pre-exposed beliefs. Other designer that comes to mind is Hiroki Nakamura of Visvim, who simply sources manufacturing wherever he feels comfortable, including China

As long as it have pockets it is not a cosplay but a tech wear that's my opinion. I buy Cyberpunk Samurai jacket and it have no pockets except one for the databank to power the neon neck.

Hardshell pants are pure function. I have Gore-Tex Paclite rain pants, and the key to their use is in the name, they're lightweight and packable. They stay in the bag, if it starts to rain, they go over the regular pants, kinda like taking your jacket off when you go inside and putting it back on over your regular clothes when you're back in the elements.

Yeah, people know that China can do decent stuff ...for the price. NOBODY goes to China for BEST quality. They go for good enough quality at cost effective prices. So I think you're spot on about the price. People will accept a higher cost for a European-made, even cheaper Eastern European, because of things like the expectations of higher wages, better working conditions, and better environmental controls compared to China's rather history in those areas. People will look the other way on the negatives of manufacturing in China if the quality is sufficient, and the price is right. He's clearly done it for higher margins, yet the pricing is still pretty astronomical for clothing. For comparison take some UF Pro Stryker Gen 3 combat pants, made in Slovenia compared to Acronym P23A-DS pants made in Czechia, or perhaps China now too. The UF Pro pants require more labour, are heavier duty, have multiple specialized location fabric types, are available in a FAR wider fitment range, but even with the optional adjustable kneepads come in about 25% the price of the Acronyms. Acronym's just fashion brand pricing at this point. Material and manufacturing cost is a FRACTION of the retail price whether made in the EU or in China, so Errolson did it purely out of money in his multiple pockets. Either the unit price went down with the move to Chinese the factory, the production volume went up, or most likely both.

I like really thin and straight up to the knee and only half way through the knee getting really wide and baggy, and it's really hard to get something like this, they always do it much bellow the knee which makes you look like Aladdin.

Just bought the inflatable jacket. Its a ski jacket and the airbags are used for insulation. It tightens the jacket up keeping you warmer, i guess it could have been used in avalanche situations to keep you above the snow. Either way ts sick af.
