I think the second outfit looks more interesting. but I like the fact that you showed how you can also make items work from a thrift. What also was great was that you explained that it took a while to get expensive pieces

Level 1 tech-grunt vs lvl 99 tech-boss I myself am definitely on the budget end, I'd recommend for newcomers to check out second-hand hiker gear like stuff from The North Face or Superdry, just go all black and it should be all good.

the layers from the second fit are better but because of the all black of the fits you've gotta try to find an all white background to use as a good referencing contrast.

Both fits are really great and functional. Functionality wise i expected the cheaper outfit to be bot as functional but I Think they are pretty similar in functionality. If you have wider feet you might really be interested in functional/barefoot footwear. Barefoot shoes always focus on thin zero drop soles with a wide toebox but there are Brands like joenimble that are no barefoot shoe Brand but still Provide freedom for your toes. Check them out! I wanted to do Videos about those kinds of shoes at the Moment and bought a new pair of vibram five fingers yesterday so if you have questions please Shoot them. Other than that ... can you give me a better Impression on those midlayers? It seems that both are not ideal - the cheaper one is not as breathable and the other one seems to function well despite bring cotton? I would like to Understand that and want to see the knit/weave texture and want to know the exact fiber composition. All in all imho techwear should be Form follows function so as soon as something is techwear it should have a dezent functionality which makes it pretty usable over all, and whether its from a high fashion Brand or not doesnt really matter After All.

Is there anyway to customize a cheaper jacket to make it look more unique aesthetically? Or is that more of an undertaking than tapering pants?

Deivest you could make any number of changes by adding pockets and such, the hardest part is going to be finding fabric that works well with the cheap jacket. Though I can make a tutorial one day about that subject!
