Nice review, have the same saw myself. A good buy. NB! One little tip, you should remove the battery when you demonstrate saw’s mechanical features. Just for greater safety.
Nice!
Search out, micro controller charger ICs'.....( chips ) and learn : They utilize a current sensing chip, in these ' smart ' chargers. Unless there is an input current, of some level, NOTHING will output. (old electronics tech) . Additionally, using MosFets, IGBTS'.....and heavy - duty diodes, in some. Thank - you for Learning, all persons' using their '' hands '' ! ...God bless you all ! '' In all labour, there is p r o f i t. '' and '' cheap labor isn't skilled ; skilled labor ISN'T CHEAP ''. Good day ....
My advice: Don't buy any Super Cheap Auto (SCA) branded crap!
Change the ignitor which goes most of time and you can sell the oven for 100+
Denmark calling. Great that you tell us about what you you know. WERY interesting and informative.videoes Your voice is great and nice to listen to😊😊😊😊
Interesting Chris. Getting there, slowly. Cheers Graham
Hey mate, awesome videos, are you able to put all of this series in a playlist? Cheers
I have done mate. The playlist is called "Farm clean-up" kzread.info/head/PL4Imbd_lYrOC2aNAAccJ-O44j47T2_Di2&si=qmGKR-8BxIVracXJ
top man you have saved me a load of money great just great no brilliant many thanks 👍👍👍
Haha, thanks John! I'm very pleased it was helpful 😃👍
Great ...Thanks
Thank you! 😊😊
Yay I saw some frost 😂 beautiful crisp mornings there. Making good progress 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Barb! The frost was especially for you! 😁👍
@@TheUltimateRecycler much appreciated 😂
I have a couple of walmart chargers that refuse to charge a dead battery. If the battery is in the car, turn the lights on. A draw seems to trick it
Interesting! Thanks 😊👍
Early start!
Indeed! Pretty chilly too! 😬😬
Have you tried your hsnd at Tetris? You could be a champion 🏆 🥇
Haha, thanks mate! Yep, have always loved playing Tetris!
Thank you so much for this! I have a rock tumbler that was originally from the US and so the lead had to be changed. It worked perfectly fine for a time, but then would randomly trip the breaker when plugged in, even when not switched on. Because of your video, I can see that when they changed the plug, they have reversed the neutral and active wires (the blue wire is connected to the "active" side and the brown is on the "neutral" side). From what you've said, I believe this is what is causing my problem. I haven't attempted to fix it yet. My question is: do I need to replace the whole plug as per your video, or is it possible to just take it apart and reverse the wires? Hope that makes sense. Thanks again, great video!
Thanks Pam! You can re-use the existing plug if there is no damage to it. I don't think reverse polarity would cause excessive current which trips the breaker - there is likely a partial short somewhere! Especially if it does it while switched off.
@@TheUltimateRecycler ah OK.
@@TheUltimateRecycler so far, the machine is working, so fingers crossed!
It's almost unbelievable how much stuff you have moved. There really is light at the end of the tunnel now!
Thanks Dee! Yes, all of a sudden the job seems to have an end in sight! 😊😊
Thank you very much for this video. People who teach others are truly Blessed by God😇❤🤗
Thanks Justine! 😃
Looks like a nice day.
Other than the very chilly nights & mornings, the weather was great! 😊👍
Great content! 👍🏻 Amazing we have to do these things to get a product like this to work 😂 I’m old school when we had a charger that could boil a battery back to life and then in a mad scientist kinda way say “IT’s ALIVE!!!” 😂😂
Haha, I'm not sure boiling the battery is such a good idea - but I get your point! 🤣
Thanks Chris, great to see alll the progress you've made there, it really feels like you've broken the back of it now, plenty more for sure but the end is in sight ! Good to see the wardrobes finding a new home, I hope the dressing table can join them soon ! Personally I love to hear a bit of local geography and to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, I envy the space and peace there but appreciate it can also have it's downsides !
I am going to miss the tranquility of the place Andy! Yep, progress should be increasingly easy now! 😊👍
I think it was Olympic Level Packing. Thanks for taking us along.
Haha, thanks Cynthia! 🤣😊👍
Very nice. The toughest loads are all behind you.
Yep, it definitely should be an easier time finishing off! Thanks Nas 😊👍
Chris you are a super hero for clearing out the house and sheds - it's a mammoth amount of work and not very close to where you live (but then I suppose in Australia nothing is very close! 😂)
That's true Rebecca, we are used to driving long distances! Thanks 😊👍
What’s the plan for the Ute? Presumably you’ll use it while you’re cleaning up… and then?
Good question Emma! We have decided we will keep it and it can be a spare vehicle for any of the family to use if they need a ute for anything. It will probably stay at mums 👍😊

Being a huge winter fan it was lovely to see the misty weather. Shame no frost to look at though , please do better !😂 Good to see stuff going and the fire was great. Have the furry critters moved in now the place is empty ? Hopefully not. I’m wondering if it’s viable to have a sort of farm open day where people from nearby farms can come and see what’s available to be sold or given away? Or would that be a security issue? Hope your Mum is settling into her new house and is happy there.
Thanks Barb. Mum has settled in pretty well actually - but lots of unpacking as you can imagine! I think there have been a few mice in the farmhouse, but not too bad as it's probably too cold for them! I'll probably advertise a free garage sale locally in a couple more trips just to tidy up stuff 👍😊
Things are looking good, Chris. Geez, I'm glad I'm back up here in Queensland. However, it's been rather cold up here, too, at the moment. When (or if) the wind ever dies down, then it'll be better. 😊
Thanks Ross! Yeah, the frosty mornings have been rather fresh, but the days are pretty good. Yep - I've seen it's a little chilly up there too. You guys will have to put on a T-shirt & thongs to stay warm 🤣🤣
U getting there. Been awhile since U been to the farm. Everyone loves good fire, cheers Graham
Thanks Graham. Yep about five weeks and probably another four until I'm back there.
That lane out by the wood pile is cleaning up nicely and room to swing a cat around in the barns. Thanks for sharing your progress.
Thanks mate! There is a stray cat hanging around - I'll have to see if I can catch it! 😉😆
will this work on something like a vaccuum power plug
Absolutely! Although most vacuums are double insulated and don't have an earth wire! So it's actually easier! 😃👍
Even though it is getting quite empty now, it's still interesting looking around. Sorry the sale of the wagon fell through. "Sometimes I impress myself" 🤣🤣 Was a nice bit of parking! I'm impressed too.👍
Haha, it was impressive! 🤣🤣
Learn to speak actual English. I can't understand you.
You are doing great
Thanks Eve 😊😊
good goin...lots of progress !! LOL at your "Doors" joke.
Thanks! I'm glad someone got it! 😊👍
I know you have a lack of space for displays at the shop, but I think the door on the center refrigerator would look good set up as a way to display magnets for sale. (Think old gears that have been shellacked and a magnet attached to the back)
That is a good idea Nick, but I'm a bit time poor at the moment - as well as space poor!
Hi Chris, would it be possible to buy one of the garden sieves please? I could pick it up at the shop on Sunday. I’ve been wanting one of these for ages! Thanks.
Ah, if I had of seen this comment before coming home I would have thrown them in the van! They will still be there next trip, so I can bring them back then..
Many thanks Chris. I’ll look forward to having a souvenir of the farm. I’ve watched nearly all of your videos and am a huge fan of the Great Farm Clean Up and Storage Shed Clean-Out. Thanks for the content and showing us how to tread more lightly on the planet 🌎 All the best to you and Christine. Maree.
Thanks for taking us along
Thanks for coming along Cynthia 😊👍
Thanks for the update Chris, looks like more good progress, it's nice when you get enough space cleared that you can start to group things for processing ! Too bad the wagon sale fell through, good luck with the new listing, excellent news that the large furniture items are going though ! I have a few of the old style garden riddles/sieves, useful things, I use a fine one to riddle the nails out of my wood ash ready to add it to my compost, they've got quite expensive here now for the vintage ones ! A bonfire is a great way to clear some space on a cooler day, you're right though some people just chuck anything on including plastics and cause nasty black smoke pollution, perhaps you cold drag one of your magnets through the ash pile to collect the nails ?
Thanks Andy. I don't think I'll worry about magnet cleaning the ash. Ross will probably dump the lot in an old dam he is planning to fill in and any metal will just rust away. Yeah, I don't like burning anything toxic!
A pity about the wagon, but the place is starting to look much more empty...
Yep, I do feel like things will tidy up fairly quickly Thanks Martin 😊
No chooks scratching around in the background. The white ants will start devouring the place. Coco could accompany you now there are no critters to chase.
You are right Troy - Coco could come along, but as Mum needs a seat now, she gets first dibs!
Brilliant TUC ! This helped me no end with my mobility scooter ! (2 x 12v x 75ah batteries!). The charger , after a year or so of non-use, charged the scooter overnight - but next day not all the lights were lit which was odd! The scooter was useless - no power at all uphill. Would move on the flat or downhill. I was going to remove the cells and treat them like this video does the flat battery - BUT the charger knew there was a battery or two connected so I aborted that idea!!! I wondered if the charger assumed full charge because the voltage from the scooter exceeded 12v? I propped up the drive wheels and ran the motor with no load at HIGH and LOW and Hare and Tortoise speeds and the wheels kept turning! (Toilet roll tube on the handle bars and over one paddle is a good way to run the battery into the ground). I ran it down to near zero on HIGH. Then switched to LOW where it ran on 3 reds until it dropped to 2. Turned off the display showed in the amber zone so I could have discharge for longer for sure. Recharged the scooter and it charged up with an hour and the power was as good as new! Drove up the ramp into the Berlingo - no problems. I just need to use it nw and the charging cycle will improve imho. I was almost ready to order Lithium batteries which would be £600 to over a grand for 75ah - so Ulimate Recycler is a hero in my house! Thank you for the tip!!!
Haha, thanks Mike! 😃👍

How NOT to be Smarter re: Leaving a Battery on Trickle Charge, especially if you desire long Battery life. Unless the Battery Charger you are using ceases charging when the Battery is at Full Charge, DO NOT leave the Charger Connected. "Trickle Charging" WILL KILL the Battery. Leaving a Full Charged Battery on Trickle Charge will cause Sulfation(buildup), which in turn causes internal shorting within the battery, leading to Battery Discharge. In some cases this condition MAY be recoverable by way of Pulse Charging, to break down and dissolve the Sulfation. If a Battery is overcharged or undercharged or left discharged, some for even just several days, they will rapidly develop sulfate. Even when a battery is stored fully charged, sulfate will form. Either disconnect the Charger when charged, only recharging when the Battery Voltage drops below 12.6 Volts.. Yes Lead Acid Car Batteries do self-discharge, and cold temperatures reduce battery capacity, especially during starting. Modern Vehicles also compound the problem by continuous discharge by way of Security Systems and etc, of which Vehicle Batteries are simply NOT designed for. Vehicle Batteries are only designed for short term, high current(Starting), after which the Alternator/Generator supplies Vehicle power for the duration and to recharge the Battery. The alternative is to use a "Maintenance Charger" where the charger charger ceases charging until terminal voltage drops below a determined level.
Good information Shane! Smart chargers do certainly have their place in monitoring battery condition and only supplying trickle charge when the battery needs it - and not all the time. Thanks for watching 👍😊
Very informative video....but bit of difficult to disassemble & reassemble tv for a common man and without tools and glue....but you explained every thing in detail....Thanks alot
Thanks for watching! 😊👍
The tongs bought from retailers are designed to fail because not only is Aluminium soft, it is sacrificial to SS and corrodes. specially in a dishwasher. This is in contrast to the one supplied to the hospitality trade though their wholesalers, and are assembled with SS rivets. I have seen these units, years after I started repairing my wife's.... My solution is to go to a car parts store and get SS split/cotter pins and washers. Thread the pin through the washer, then though the tongs, then another washer, cut pin about 10mm past the washer and pig tail the split pin ends away from each other with needle nose pliers for safety. These will now last as long as the spring doesn't rust and fail. I have not found a suitable replacement SS spring yet.... ***Any one know where I can get SS spring from????**** 🤔 🤔 🤔 Sydney Australia
Excellent advice for a long lasting repair mate! Not sure about SS springs though - someone must make them 🤔👍
My understanding is that if a 12v battery is run down to less than 11volts it will never hold charge for very long.
I don't think it is quite that detrimental John. A new battery that gets discharged because someone left the headlights on too long, usually charges up just fine and still has a good life!
@@TheUltimateRecycler Ok I stand corrected.
Thanks Chris, that was quite a volatile group of products in that box, good job you're not a smoker ! I'm sure you know well enough your local laws on chemicals having done so many clearances, but my guess is it's probably safer to let those items go as freebies rather than sell even at a token price as that tends to infer a liability ! As you said other peoples chemicals are a bit of a lottery as you can never be sure how old and whether they are what they say on the label. Not authentic obviously, but that smoking stand would look great with an old Vinyl record or 78 under a glass top, if you could get the right fit !
Thanks Andy! That's an excellent idea using a 78 record or similar! 👍😊
mid 1980's looks and sounds about right, I'm curious about your teleporting Aussie mice! That case seemed fairly mice-proof!
Oh our mice are masters at getting in spots where they shouldn't be able to Martin! I think they carry their own tin snips! 🤣
Quite the bunch of useful chemicals. That gunpowder must have been damp, it was a bit slow; reminded me of my young days making things go BANG. 💣🤪
It was in a sealed tin, so shouldn't have been damp Alex - maybe it was just a slow burning one!
Wait, aerogard is good at removing paint and we put it out our skin an organ? Yikes haha
You're right its about recycling, today I went to my local recycling centre and dropped off some oil after changing the oil in my car last week, eye opener and will be back there again
Yep, scary about the Aerogard isn't it! 😱 All tips should have recycling sheds for re-purposing & re-using stuff FF. If I didn't have a shop, I'd approach the local council and get things changed here! Some areas do it well though 👍😃
