Great video Chris, the large lids look like they would cover a fry pan ...so that's a plus. The small B&S tank would clean up good for eBay.

Thanks Firebird! If it was in better nick, I would consider eBay - but the time involved to clean it up isn't worth it. Yeah, we sell lots of cooking stuff to campers, so a fry pan cover is likely 👍😊

Grats on clearing some space... The motherboard might have to run through it's self-checks before it lets the video card power up... the error code displayed might reveal the problem. But that's for it's new owner to research. Having a working test bench, to test out cards is probably the best way to isolate and locate the fault.

I have a 4 cylinder van, we have solar panels on the house and I've even been known to sort the neighbour's bins properly so that as much is recycled as possible!

Quite a variety today. Quite interesting stuff. Although, as a drummer myself, I think used drum sticks don't carry much value...

Good to hear from you Chris, that was another good varied bunch of gear and not a bad potential return considering, I remember those video cards they were quite popular at the time ! Where else but your shop would you find a selection of pan lids to replace your missing or broken one ? Perhaps you should attach a few saucepan lids to your Cymbal stands, although I'm not sure how well aluminium sounds ! 😉

I think the video card needs drivers which would have been on a hard drive if it had one. And the CMOS battery is probably flat, so boot up and video on the screen might not work anyway?

I havent seen a PC clone that didnt come up with bios information whether it had a hard drive or not. If the video card didnt do that then how would you load in any drivers. Its likely a video card fault since the motherboard isnt beeping any faults, assuming there is still a speaker hooked up.

@@StevesElectronicRepairShop Also true! What if the original motherboard had a different video card, and this video card and its drivers were loaded later on to the HDD which is now no longer there? Might that prevent the BIOS from showing? Asking from the point of an ignoramus.....

@@zs1dfr I am no expert on PCs, but I think the video cards revert to a low resolution so you can at least see the start up info and get into the bios. The drivers just set up things from there. If you cant even get that, and the motherboard isnt beeping at you, then its likely the video card is faulty. I actually got a friends laptop to display something by removing the hard drive after they though the screen was damaged by baggage handlers. Turned out it was a software issue.
