Hey guys!
I'm just a regular nerd that enjoys playing video games for the lore and, story and world. Here you will find videos that pertain to mostly those things, as well, as some playthroughs and reviews. My main focus is Guild Wars 1+2, but I make videos for other games, too.

"Leaving with AN eye of Janthir" 👀
Buahaha just a theory but who knows! There could be a lot more. I mean at least 2 makes sense yeah? Lol
@@Aerali First time I see it written like this in the blog post! So you might be onto something!
@@Jay-el9iz what do you mean by "written in the Blogpost?"
@@Aerali I quoted from the July 10th blog post! "We know that Saul and his fledgling White Mantle went to the isles in search of something, leaving with an Eye of Janthir. We also know that other conspicuous figures have ventured into the region, too."
I assume that is Chloe Mills (she is the banker npc in the eye of the north). I assume her title is more about the actual game design rather than the overall story. Funfact, thats the sister of Chelsea; who is very famous for her amazing legendary weapon designs
Interesting! And yes Chelsea has made some amazing legendary weapons! That's really cool to know. Thanks. I just find it interesting all the different titles and such out there.
Isgarren says he knew we could handle things but when it comes to us being murdered by Balthazar, did Isgarren know how that was gonna turn out, like at all or just hoped we would return back to life somehow?
@@mishking9547 Yeah that is weird. Like we died. There could have been no coming back from that and with Aurene he could've gotten to Kralk and it would've been all over at that point. Like I said, sometimes I'm not sure what Isgarren is thinking.
Theres potential they run a simulation on this over and over and over again. Probably why we have that sorta joko/balthazar area on the skwyatch archipelago. Does make me wonder though, just before POF....we saw the eye of janthir and a vision. Perhaps they guided us somehow
Thats also interesting because they drew attention to the commander's death in SOTO too - there was a bit about how his death sent a ripple / mentions of the taste. Something like that (may be misremembering)
This is all super intriguing. If we take the commanders death and all the details about how the Eye guided us to the desert (why would it even do that in the first place?) into account, it could perhaps mean that the commander HAD to die (aka Harry Potter or something) in order for certain things (like celestial events or something) to align. There could be some wild connections if they play their cards right.
@@Aerali ya just like i think no matter what actually happend in that realm, that new avatar of grenth would have revived us, prolly interved and killed that creature if we couldnt handle it but another example of some god knowing we could handle ourselves :P
I'm the same way as you when it comes to spoilers
Nice! Good to know I'm not alone!
The GW goat! Whatsup Aerali thanks for the info! I'll try to catch the next stream
@@Digikuma ❤️❤️❤️ And no worries! It's just nice having all you guys in the stream to do live discussions and theorizing and such!
28:00 watch the khan-ur somehow be whoever the new iron legion imperator is. It would also be hilarious, but completely nonsensical if it was Effram
@@Rabidconscience Mia Kindleshot took over as Iron Imperator. None the less, it'll be interesting to see who the Khan-Ur will be. I'm guessing either Efram or Crecia but who knows. Hopefully we will find out.
damn i just saw article and you alreadu got video thats some flash powers lol
@@MsIorveth Buahaha! Well, our friend Emily did remind me but yeah I went right to recording as I have to go to work now. Trying to get it done beforehand.
I was in a similar direction about the Eye, but didn't think at all about the encrypted poem!!! I would love to see some nice tie-ins
@@MusPuiDiTe yes, same here. Whenever they tie things in with old lore, it makes the whole world feel so much more connected!
Bro. That cheetah race was impossible. I love your walkthrough and commentary, so thank you! But I spent probably 600 malins trying to win that race. The controls are horrible. You should have at least let people know you can chat with the cheetah and he will throw the race for 50 malins. Did that on one try so it was well worth the 70 malins to just move on!
@@brandonreid2798 Thanks for watching! And yeah the controls are super janky. It can be super hard. And I didn't even know he throws the race if you pay him. Those mechanics are really of its time ha.
@@Aerali And I never tried talking to the cheetah before doing further cheat research because I was over it. He has a beef with Heidi making money off him, so he says he will slow down if you pay him 50 malins. Zelda- A link to the Past may be my favorite game of all time so I'm always looking for similar games like this. Great work on the walkthrough!
@@brandonreid2798 That's great to know! And thank you!
Don't play this game lol there is a group of toxics players they wait until you have good ships to troll u and fight u with groups, and you probably take actions to fight back and there is always rules so many rules and the server admins will punish you for that. better find something else don't waste your time here, as a player played 2 months i don't recommend.
@@BugsbunnyEh hmmm I haven't played the core game PvP in a long time. If you want to do PvP I would recommend some of the mods for it. Perhaps those are better and more active. Discovery especially, since it just had an update come out recently.
I never noticed this!
Nice concept for a series…. Now do ele, next! 😈
Really interesting perspective on the specializations! I noticed an "eating" theme to the sword skills on necromancer and it makes me curious about what sort of specialization could have accompanied that- Necromancer/Chef? With utility skills that continue to play with the "you can use it again, but it'll cost ya" mechanic to deal out boons/damage.
@@kelseyk5990 Yeah it's unfortunate that we don't get new elite specs with the weapons because just going off of weapons is a bit hard to determine what it could be in terms of dual classing tbh. I love the punishment mechanic on the swords and could really imagine something unique around that were they to make a spec with it. Just by itself and honestly have no clue what it could be as a dual class.
You really caught me off guard with scourge = elementalist. I was expecting ranger because drawing upon spirits in your environment is a major thing that distinguishes them from warriors. With the necromancer spin on it being that the spirits are of the dead rather than nature itself. You really made elementalist make more sense though.
@@Rabidconscience Ranger is still an interesting thought though! Like I said the Serpent Siphon skill would make sense in that context as well! And obviously the ones combinations I come up with aren't set in stone but it's just fun coming up with these theories of sorts and finding enough evidence to make it work. Someone else mentioned Mesmer instead of Elementalist and that might even work better. This series as a whole is just supposed to make the community think about elite specs in a different way and perhaps approaching them with a different view point.
Bout time😍😍😍
@@vocalthought4474 Buahaha seriously! It's been a minute.
I think the Scourge is more like a Necromancer/Mesmer. The Sand Shades really feel like placing Clones to magnify their abilities like the Shatters. The Scourge feels to be like a Mesmer with clones that persist.
@@toddwittie4421 That's actually a great take as well! And this would work with the F abilities acting as shatters of sorts! I like it!
Great video, really good content.. I'm new to the gane and playing guardian (love melee and great sword) and was looking for a secondary character to play in solo, was aiming at the reaper and your video helped me decide! Thx man ggs
@@smokyx Thank you so much and welcome to the game!
I never thought about the elite specs as dual classes, but the way you argue it really does make sense. It's almost like a lovely little hidden reference to or reinterpretation of GW1's dual classing system. Also, I really like your voice, very pleasant to listen to ^^
@@uandubh5087 Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!
Mesmer Virtuoso is just Dead Eye for Mesmer. Almost all elite specs are just giving you access to what other proffs/elite specs can do. With the flavor of their core proff of course.
Love the Idea !
@@gaelsoudy8970 Thank you! It's different a little different haha
Yes ! I just watched the warrior one, and i enjoyed it ! For someone who is quite new to the lore of the Guild Wars games, its really educative. :)
@@gaelsoudy8970 Thank you! And welcome! There is plenty of other things in my channel to check out I suppose.
I dont realy understand what the point of this video is, maybe im just retarded idk
basically gw2 specialization got their inspiration from the first game gw1 dual profession, he just showing the concept of dual profession in gw1 is still exist in gw2...
Pretty much this. Idea being to look at elite specs in a different light. Many of my videos are fairly pointless unless it's something you actually give a crap about I suppose.
Ugh, I'm sorry guys, I crashed again. I will have to do more research into why this is happening.
Great info I didn't know about the statue kneeling. Gotta try this when my pc is back up!
@@TheInebriatedGamers you are welcome! Thank you!
Great video Aerali. ❤gw2❤
@@SPDLST thank you!
You are not suppose to stick to one weapon or legendary stance on revnant, you are suppose to swap weapon and stance fluid in combat for the full potential...doesnt excuse how slow the spear is but you were definitely struggling cause you refused to swap stance or weapon xD
@@mishking9547 True. I guess I wasn't really focused on that. I also think that energy management is a bitch still and doesn't feel good. Too many things to consider to have any fluidity. But I guess that's a specific profession issue that I have. I'm just a bad Rev player 🤣
@@Aerali I hear that, I was horrible with ele, specially weaver but I gave each class a year roughly, so i know the ins and outs of most of em but still have my favorite/preferences
@@mishking9547 nice! I used to be really good at Rev but haven't played it seriously in many years now.
By this point, anet knows we have people like you that translate the languages, so I would not put it past them to be effing with us xD
@@mishking9547 Yeah, I was blown away when I did the necro one lol
SO far, all of my testing, my take away is that I love all the Medium classes, Thief poison build superb with the spear like I was saying, Engi condi build is gonna be fun imo might even try condi engi mech and the ranger feels good I just kind of wish anet leaned towards condi, perhaps bleed... But the major take away is my surprise at how good ele feels, specially the air/lightning stuff so I think im gonna make a full on lightning themed tempest, with the overload and conjure lightning hammer and skill 2 and the finished etching, chefs kiss Honorable mentions are Mesmer and guardian feeling pretty good and strong Warrior and Revnant were the lowest ones, revnant needs faster animations for sure and warrior spear is a nice long range replancement to rifle and longbow but overall could use more tuning on numbers and the 'evade backwards knock enemy away' skill needs a flip over that lets you leap back in if you so choose. Reaper bleed/power hybrid with spear is amazing cant wait to try it out more when JW launches
@@mishking9547 interesting! So, the warrior having a flip over on the evade is an amazing idea. Revenant is definitely the roughest one. Ranger focusing more on condi probably would have been really nice. Thief I agree has some really good poison stacking. Warrior is strange. I think just upping the numbers and lowering cast times would do wonders. Air on ele is really good. I love the idea of just having an air tempest (I have one myself) but I think earth works really well too. Guardian is honestly my favorite. It feels really good to use, synergy is there. Overall, I think this batch is much better than the Soto weapons (of which MANY suck still). I hope Anet ACTUALLY listens to the feedback that people are giving, because as of right now I don't think any of the weapons are competitors in becoming meta. They all lack one thing or another. That's just my opinion though. I'm not good with numbers and such.
Man I remember this old jewel, If it isn't at steam how can I play freelancer today? Or alternatively, are there other games just like freelancer? Which ones?
@@williamalvarez9563 Freelancer is considered abandonware and can be safely downloaded. The link is somewhere in the comments. In addition to that there are some great mods out there for it (Specifically Discovery which just recently had another update)

Wow, that is indeed a shame. But check out the other comments, you can get the game as it is consider abandonware and is safe to download from that site, so that you can enjoy this game as well!
Thanks so much for going back to the 1st blog post. :) I'm the one (you probably remember) that mentioned it. I actually agree with you on this.. i'm a Ranger main (for competitive but it's also my first/original main) and it needs y'know.. More sources of stealth, especially from utility skills. I'm gunna ask that question in the live chat of today's livestream.. I hope they see & answer my question!
Yes, I'm glad you asked for the first one again. I'm glad I went back and did it. And yeah it's definitely a strange choice to make the main mechanic around stealth when it's hard to access stealth for Rangers.
REV IS RANGE I REPEAT REV IS RANGE we can hide torches and pitchforks for now
Buahaha indeed!!! I want to see it in action tomorrow!
We are getting the livestream tomorrow where they show off all the spear skills, Aerali :P
Oh my God, you are right. Like I said, I never know what day anything happens on 🤣 not sure if I should cover that.
@@Aerali I wouldnt mind watching it with ya but ya im definitely checking out, i need to know if they will show off the weaver stuff for ele spear and mirage ambush for mesmer spear, etc
Would really love if we actually get a mastery where we learn a language and culture and it actually has meaning and flavor within AND outside of the expansion....kind of like what the nuhoch stuff was suppose to be in HoT
Yes! That would be amazing!
It seems Revenant has the same system like Ranger where they have different auto attacks depending on whether they're melee range or far away, so you can use it as a ranged weapon.
Yeah definitely sounds like it!
Anet definitely saved the best for last with these 3, the animations of the skills and the impact of them, they all seem so fricken cool I love it!!
Yeah, they seriously look great!
@@Aerali And I love condi dmg so I dont mind the rev spear being melee but man do i wish it was ranged, i do think the auto attack swaps between ranged and melee like how the rangers works
About the idea of devs going back to GW1 (and for core GW2 Tyria too), it has been some time I was wondering: will AI and machine learning be useful for almost automated models and texture improvements? If so, could it be used to transpose old GW2 armors to new races? This could open up many possibilities 🤩
I mean, who really knows what AI will be capable off in the future! The question is, will a company like Anet rely on something like AI? It's an interesting thought for sure and we will have to see how this might turn out at some future points.
I know exactly what yer talking about with the mighty teapot thing, I have disagree with many things teapot has said (and espsecially a guy called nike on there) and nike has attacked me in the comments section for disagreeing with him or teapot
It can truly be vicious. Before I was a content creator myself, I followed a bunch of other content creators and usually spoke out when I had a different view point. Most times I was simply ignored but I had the occasional negative interaction. It's sad that that's how a lot of those communities are, but I get it. It's easier to cultivate a following when a lot of them behave like fanatics. After all, for many of the big streamers, that is their livelihood and the way they keep the lights on, so having as many people as possible agree with you on everything is a good way to grow or at least keep your following. While I obviously don't have a huge following, I always try to have everyone voice their opinions and I will always be inclined to WANT someone to disagree with me since like I said in the video, I'm not all knowing or a genius or anything and I LOVE having discussions (healthy and constructive ones) with you guys.
@@Aerali and thats why youre growing in popularity personally for me and why i been watching you more and them less~
@@mishking9547 Thank you! I really appreciate it! Our little community has really been growing a lot lately and I'm very happy with that.
on the note of talking about explaining things, they need to merge the telescope npc that explains renowns, events etcs with the npc you talk to right when you are done with the tutorial/first story instance, so when they are done talking to about the story they go right into there spiel explaining renowns/events etc, instead of having a new player talk to an npc
Yeah, something to that effect. At least, the game should immediately point you to talk to them with a green or orange icon above their head to teach you that you should talk to them. Otherwise most people probably just run by.
I never follow subreddits or fandom forums, I remember when I had a bunch of people I thought I trusted saying Detective Pikachu was bad, went to go see it anyways and fricken love that movie
Yeah, we all have our opinions and they need to stop thinking that those vocal people on forums, reddit and discord and 100% of their playerbase. The game is casual friendly enough that many people don't use any of those. And I loved Detective Pikachu. I thought it was great, too!
I'm for the survey since forever! If Anet starts a survey system I would be so happy: throw in some gems and you'll get feedback from the majority of players!!
Yes! That's what I'm saying!
Whatever happened to the Dual class theory you were working on. That was way more interesting.
I guess to each their own. Many people enjoy the comparison videos. None the less, I have been eagerly working on the next dual classing video. Unfortunately, these take a lot of time (as I mentioned in a recent community post) and are a lot of effort, but hopefully, I'll have it done soon! Thanks for waiting!
1st preview of 3 classes was on a thursday and so was the 2nd preview; so the final preview of ele, mesmer and rev is gonna be Thursday, the 20th and then on 21st is there livestream showing all 9 classes spear stuff and then 27th-30th is when we get to test them in a beta
