We're basically back in the GW1 era: self contained stories without a universe breaking menace. Also, they mention more detailed and deep stories (it's more obvious in the French translation) which hypes me!

To be fair, gw1 story telling kind of connected everything to elder dragons ultimately. Prophesies and factions were all pre-ultimated for nightfall which lead to stirring the elder dragons. However gw1 beyond had amazing story/followup to the lore.

I really feel like Indigo hinted at us possibly finally getting the Underworld in Guild Wars 2, maybe a glimpse of it in SOTO but more of it in the next expacs in 2024-2025 and beyond~

Perhaps! I think we got a glimpse of a lot of possible things and places we could be going in the future, which all sound pretty promising. I can't wait!

Do you know what would be dope? a ""What if?" series. Like.. What if Rhytlock didn't free Balthazar etc. it's still a lore-esque thing but a different spin on it and it's basiclaly speculation.

What would be interesting in a comic format rather than in game honestly as alternate universe what ifs would translate a bit messy. (Look at warlords of dreanor expansion of wow) I do want anet to branch out story telling to books/comics.

Some interesting things that may or may not be related to the demons are Djinn, Nightmares, Spirits/Spirits of the Wild. Nightmares are often seen together with demons, the lore seems to hint a nightmares being tormented and twisted souls, in this case by the demons. There are more hostile, even malicious, spirits in the world...spirits of the mountains, seasons, fire, and darkness. The animal spirits are our allies against these foes, and we thank them for their aid, singing the praises of all beasts as we hunt. This is the Norn way. - Egil Fireteller As spirits seem to be aspects of various things, nothing but magic as certain charr said, Djinn being the fire and elemental ones mentioned above, and demons being ¨corrupted shards of the mists¨, there is a case to be made that they are related if not outright opposites. Edit: Forgot to mention that spirits tend to get power from mortal reverence whilst demons get power from mortal suffering.

I would definitely be excited to see the other spirits come into the fold somehow. That's one thing they haven't really expanded on since season 3.

Imo the relic system seems to be like what in-game lore signets are. Signets are supposedly items with an engraved rune that the user taps for a specific magic. In gw1, sigents did not cost energy which made sense as you are not using your own magic to cast. Gw2 signets work differently however but nothing is mentioned that signets are different in terms of lore. Tldr :- relics are what signets should be basically. Anyone can use them, long recharge,

Actually the Wizard's Tower already disappears when you finish Full Circle story at the Red Duck tea house. That is the last EoD story step BEFORE the interlude.

@@Aerali I played all Gyala Delves story in one go and checked after each instance. it goes away as soon as aurene messages you (which is inside the Red Duck instance). Feel free to check yourself. A friend I played with had it the same way.

I hope we fracture the perfect world and everyone restarts the guild wars bickering and fighting each other without a greater threat to unite. Also gwen is back because time travel or smthn

Both cool ideas but I think the fracture idea is a bit too big and it of scope for Anet. seeing Gwen would be interesting though.
