I was thinking it could have been a connection to Utopia, but utterly wrong since EotN came to replace it...Nayos is a really good tie-in!!

Well, you probably aren't completely off on that. It probably is a leftover from Utopia like many other pieces in EotN. Utopia was supposed to deal with going into the Mists and the Gods, so I think it would've made sense but yeah since we never got any Xotecha expansion Nayos would be the closest thing.

Never heard about this kind of aspect of GW2 before(tho I'm still a new to the game hehe) and It's fascinating!

Oh you are in for treat then! There is so much interesting lore and hidden things connecting the whole world together!

I haven't seen a good GW2 lore video in a while! It feels like ANet has been a little heavy-handed with the lore lately, but there will always be mysterious loose ends. We've seen them weave those loose ends back in before, so you might be on to something here.

Thank you! And I sure hope so! I always try to make my videos fit together as well as possible but I know sometimes it's a reach 😬 None the less I think there is always room to speculate and theorize on what could come in the future.

Great video. We need more people invested in the lore and story. Looking around reddit / gw2 forums and even some comments, it feels like people just want this game to vanish or die. I've seen so much complaining about how SoTo sucks. It's great for the lore. The story is interesting, and I'm curious who Eparch is.

Yes agreed! Unfortunately, the community has moved away from lore/speculation/theorizing. It's a shame. 90% of the YT content nowadays is just what makes the most gold or what build is the best.

Very interesting possibility! How do you come up with theories like these? Did you just remember this other language and the message all these years just waiting to figure out what it means?

Ehh like I said early on in the video I was thinking about other places we could go. And remembered the deep stone fractal. Since I'm a lore guy that obviously was like the first thing that jumped into my mind. The connection to guild wars 1 I already knew when the deep stone fractal came out since I always want to know all the fun lore connections.

Oh well, that’s a lot to think about :0 Maybe some expansion that’s in the making that would lead to Asura + Dwarves story? So far we had human, charr, norn and sylvari driven stories, and people had been speculating maybe we get smth for them, So maybe it’s the one of the hooks that would focus on Asuras and Dwarves 🤔 And still we have 2 more parts to the story of SotO, maybe it would lead this way Got me excited, thx xD

Yes, I'm definitely interested in making a concept for an underground expansion. I really want something Asura+Dwarf story themed. Eye of the North had many really cool things going on underground and I feel there could be some great lore and auch explored.

I think that pushing such ideas is giving more credits to Anet's current "lore makers" than what they deserve. Probably someone put in a GW search engine "weird language" to spice it up the dwarves fractal... and that weird "language" came out. Nobody heard of the Kryptis, ever... but Anet twisted stories to validate them somehow... and it'll be the same for the next expac, like some sort of unicorn-carebears of doom that nobody also heard of. Strictly lore talking, the Mists are connected to many worlds and eras, not only Tyria... afterall, humans and their gods came to Tyria (planet) through the Mists... so where else they could lead. Technically it validate any Anet odd eccentricities... strange languages, dino-aliens, butterfly-centaurs whatnot. 🤪

Well, yeah I mean I feel like this happens with a lot of MMO's though. Many things aren't planned that many years in advance, but I guess if this is something that is coming back to the story, I just wanted to find a way to make it work rather than retcon is make it weird. Usually, most of my videos try to find as many plausible connections as I can to make the lore fit together nicely. I doubt that anyone at Anet in 2007 thought, "Oh yeah, we are going Nayos in 2023, better leave this in here to have this connection!" Since I'm a fan of the lore I just hate when things get retconned in weird ways. Like you said no one has ever heard of Kryptis, that is why I was trying to make the Flesh reaver connection before SotO came out and that lead nowhere which is a shame. But hey you never know with these types of things I guess.

@@Aerali I'm a bit mad at Anet because it re-baking some of its old stuff and then pretend it's new. Abaddon's Torment (nightmare) realm is extremely similar to Nayos... minus the Margonites... as Nourys could easily pass as a young Abaddon or as one of his offspring... but it's sad that we have to suppose something who should be primordial and clear in the story. Something I'd really like is to keep exploring the Mists as we did in Jahai's LW story... Mists bubbles leading to different eras and otherworldly places like the mushrooms cave... or the A.N.E.T. commandos cameo'ing. We could explore the ancient Asura underground cities, when Kodans and Norns was the same species, witness the previous Dragons awakening, visit the Mursaat's realm, see the humans and their gods first arrival in Tyria or their homeworld etc. It could be amazing to visit new Tyrian areas populated with ALREADY EXISTING species...but if adding totally new sentient species, hopefully Anet will go wild and full otherworldly aliens coming from other planets also connected to the Mists. To discover civilisations made of branded, risen or even colossus could be very thrilling. There's already more than plenty of sentient species in Tyria without the need of adding new ones, plz Anet!!!😅

@@La.máquina.de.los.sueños Unfortunately, I feel like doing anything of that scope that we hope for isn't feasible for Anet and I think the Fractals are a great way to tell stories from across the timeline and such. That's why I felt like they are an important tool in the world building aspects because they show us things in the world that have happened or could happen and aren't bound to having an entire expansion exploring that narrative but it's just a small bite sized story that gives us a look at some ancient battle or other cultures or something. Luckily, the mini expansions are on a faster release cadence which means we will go to other places faster, unfortunately they are also smaller at the same time meaning it won't be as in depth as perhaps we would hope them to be. As always, I think brining good ideas to the for front might encourage Anet to go with those ideas. Doesn't hurt to try though.

Saying Anet twisted stories about the lore to include kryptis makes me wonder. Question. Did you play FF14 and what did you think of Endwalker?

@@aaronh678 already played to FF14, but it was way before bunny people and things 😆 Only 2 or 3 lines said by Lady Peitha could have resolve the whole mystery. Nayos and the Realm of Torment are too similar to be unrelated. Both are qualified as "Nightmare realm" by their own inhabitants. Soto's expansion is not over yet, maybe Anet will correct it later on. ATM, it's like having received a counterfeit Adidus pair of shoes while Anet still pretend they're real Adidas. 😅
