Do you remember how the Sigil of Demons used to summon a fleshreaver while in combat? I was so disappointed when they removed that several years ago.

Hmmm yeah that's right. Maybe with the introduction of relics, we will perhaps see the return of this effect?

I certainly hope so, but if there is a connection between the flesh reavers and the Kryptis, that may not come to pass. I wonder if they started thinking about the Kryptis when they removed that from the sigil...@@Aerali

@@raptor8x Yeah maybe. I hope their recent line about we have already seen Kryptis or something like that isnt just a throwaway line and actually leads to an enemy being revealed as being part of the Kryptis faction.

Literally thought it was a flesh reaver from jump. I was worried about the skyscale, but it looks solid.

Yes! And I feel very indifferent to the whole skyscape situation. While I hope it shine in this expansion, I wouldn't be upset if it was somewhat useless either. But that might just be me.

I hope updrafts and leylines for "flying mounts" will not ruin the experience of the griffon, forcing updraft or leyline run while passing near at top speed...

That's a good point! Especially for places like Bloodstone Fen which have a ton of key lines and updrafts all over the place

Flesh weavers are not demonic. They were a creation from the charr Ragnar from Ragnar's menagerie in gw1. Gw2 kind of retconned them which is odd

I mean Guild Wars 1 states that he breeds them but not that he creates them. Even the name menagerie just means he keeps exotics creatures although it doesn't mean that he creates them in any form. It's never outright stated in Guild Wars 1 or 2 where the Fleshreavers come from at all. The manuscript also doesn't say state that he created them, so I think it's not really a retcon. I think he came across them somehow and took them in and started breeding them to create stronger and stronger Fleshreavers. Or at least that would be my head cannon with all this. And the subject of being demonic though, I suppose it's never said either that they actually are demons at all. I wouldn't mind that being retconned though, since it would make for a cool connection to the Kryptis.
