My name is Jayse, and welcome to my channel! I am a coaster enthusiast from Hawaii, so if you love roller coasters, you've come to the right place!
A lot of my content here is taking traditional roller coaster segments like countdowns, reviews, analyses, etc, and changing it up a bit for the better.
However, due to where I live, it's very difficult for me to go to amusement parks, so I try to find my way around it by making videos that don't require going to a park. Being a Hawaiian coaster enthusiast, I can also bring a new perspective.
I post countdowns in both forms (talking/music + POVs), 5 Reasons Why, What can we Expect from __, and much more! When I am able to go to theme parks, I post vlogs, reviews, rankings, and comparisons of the new coasters I rode.
In addition to all of this, I may also make videos that help regular people convert to enthusiasts!
So if these are the videos you like, then please consider subscribing!

You forgot to mention blazing fury at Dollywood 4:43
Apparently lap bars can sometimes be knee crushing. It happens when you accidentally stick your knee out to the support beam smashing your knee. Happened to me today while riding on a ride. Im wondering if other people have experienced this before. 😢
4:03 these restraints tighten while ur in the ride for sky rush which makes it so painful. Even tho I love the coaster
B&M Clamshell’s r the best!
Leap the Dips in Lakemont Park, Altoona, Pennsylvania Built in 1902. It is considered the oldest operating coaster in the world and of course no restraints!
Leap the dips also has no restraints. It's a wild ride in the back because you fly out of your seat even though it's only going 10mph.
This guy is criminally underrated. Good pacing, good explanations, good production quality, good almost everything else.
I appreciate the kind words!
As a female, I hate vest restraints. I am always struggling to breathe by the end of the ride.
Some aren’t big people friendly lol was able to get on everything at cp at 268 tho
It is closed this entire season
That’s a shame, although from what I heard, not a rare occurrence. Hopefully it’ll be ready by next season!
5:05 If anyone was wondering, the superman restraints were changed from the T-Bars to the other ones because a disabled passenger wasn’t held in the restraint correctly, and died while on the coaster by being flung out of their seat.
Are you referring to (Superman) Ride of Steel at Darien Lake? I also don’t know much about the Bizarro incident at New England.
Can't forget the Zamperla Volare 😍😍 everyone's favourite restraints
💀
Big dipper😊
Big dipper😊
2:01 the lap bars on iron gwazi feel like there crushing your legs
I like the B&M restraints they’re usually the most comfy
Stand up Coaster restraints 💀
Giant Dipper SZN
OTS restraints are the only restraints I will let go on me. They are extremely safe.
The other restraints are also as safe, if not even safer, than OTSR's
and it’s famous
giant dipper Santa Cruz boardwalk
Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Space mountain (Florida) scared me away from rollercoasters for years (I was a kid and not only do I still hate the layout it was also experiencing technical difficulties with lighting and stuff the first time I went on it 😭) but my parents made me go on incredicoaster some years later and I can confirm it is such an amazing coaster to get over fears!
I heard the Florida Space Mountain has gotten pretty rough. Glad you enjoyed Incredicoaster!
Blazing fury at Dollywood has no restraints
Bro leviathan in Canada wonderland has a lap one. It’s so scary man. You don’t feel safe enough 😂
bro that intro 💯🔥
You are very underrated, nice video!
Thank you so much!
What are the restraints on maverick called
Intamin Soft OTSR
This is my home park, and yeah it's in need of a reboot
Yeah, at least the coaster lineup is pretty good
Hey you forgot Clamshell restraints!
4:54 :)
I would like to hear your opinion on gerstaler otsr in my opinion they suck.
They don’t seem too bad, but I know they are put on Gerstlauers with very quick transitions which would result in headbanging. Lap Bars definitely would be better for those.
Yea. I fell like gerstaler otsr are very bulky, and a little tight.
Have you ridden like any coasters dude? 😂
73, as a matter of fact
@@808CoasterLife seems as if you dont have much variety then as you said you havent used a few of these restraints. What parks you been to?
All major California parks except Seaworld, Elitch Gardens, Hersheypark, and a couple fairs. I’ve actually ridden quite a bit more coasters since this video was made.
@@808CoasterLife oh ok, bc the vest restraints are awful and super restrictive imo.. and the over the shoulder lap bars are almost always staple machines lol
One time I got stapled in a vest restraint🏀💀
I hate airtime tbh but its okay
Hey, idk if you were already told this but 500 footers would not be called polar coasters. Polar coasters are their own thing. Basically a massive El Loco coaster that wraps around a very large tower. They can be any height. A 500 footer coaster by itself would unofficially be known as a terra-coaster.
Should’ve mentioned that
i went to alton towers a fhew days ago and my head actually kinda hurted after i got off the smiler cause of the headbanging (also i waited like an hour and 40 mins) (edit Btw one of the bits of the handles i was getting hurt on had its like foam or rubber deteriorated off so there was a bit of metal hitting my head 😭)
Smiler should get new trains with lapbars imo
The vests are comfortable, but since I have long hair, it gets pulled by the restraint VERY tightly if it’s not tied back..
Good point! I would imagine that’s not a pleasant experience.
Shuttle coasters cannot complete a full circuit either.
True
Went on hyperia yesterday and its made me fall in love with lapbars
I would assume it’s back up and running?
What about accordion restraints? Like on Olympia looping, or great American triples loop at Indiana beach
I would imagine those are similar to OTSRs except with more shoulder pain and less room for airtime. What do you think?
I rode Congo falls at kings island and u have no restraints and it had a pretty big hill it actually felt like I’d fall out. U should look at it
Where is leviathan at
Canada’s Wonderland
You thought Big Bear was smoother?! Definitely not my experience. I got whiplash on Big Bear when otherwise never had that issue on other B&M inverts. I'd take Candy over it for sure but obviously experiences can vary.
I rode both in 2021 so things could’ve changed when you rode it depending on maintenance. Yes I still prefer Candymonium even though I did find Great Bear slightly smoother.
Great Bear definitely isn’t smoother. It isn’t rough but it’s certainly showing it’s age, candy is butter smooth.
The row might also make a difference. I rode Candy in row 3 and Great Bear in the back
@@808CoasterLife GB in the back is where it has the most rattle. Maybe things changed since 2021.
👃2:18 I smell memes 🗿
I smell it too 🤔
Amazing vid! I love B&M hypers, diamondback is my favorite one! Also first comment
Congrats! B&M hypers impressed me, I can’t wait to ride more!
Gerstlauer eurofighter restraints on rides like Mystery Mine a jerky fast ride hurt like hell
Yeah OSTRs aren’t the best for that type of ride.
Oldest roller coaster in California and still packs a punch
The one thing I’m still wondering is how is Giant Dipper over 100 years old?
@@808CoasterLife literally thought the same thing when I first learned it was that old when I first rode it 😭
ik you didnt mention them, but my favorites are the restraints used on X2, they are so comfy and allow for some decent airtime
They may be a little complicated to secure, but I did find X2’s restraints more comfortable than expected
The wing coaster that goes through the mountain is the one they pick
Is it confirmed yet?
I can’t be the only one who finds the clamshell lap bars uncomfortable. Thigh crushers indeed
Personally I find clamshells very comfortable but I’m sure there are others out there that would feel the same as you.
