Hersheypark did a great job maintaining this coaster!

My first coaster ever, and still one of the best wooden coasters I have ever ridden. Exceptionally smooth and well-kept for its age. Thanks for the video.

Great review, I can’t recall the laterals being that good having mostly remembered the better than expected airtime moments on my lone ride. Definitely need to ride Comet a few more times on my next visit.

They’re definitely not on the level of Ghostrider, but some lateral moments were pretty decent!

I always look forward to riding this when visiting! It’s so smooth and it’s so enjoyable and fun! Don’t judge a roller coaster by its age!

Comet was my first big coaster. I first rode it nearly 30 years ago and still love it. Hersheypark takes great care of it.

For being so old, I think Hersheypark did a great job maintaining Comet!

it is a good, underrated ride tho

I was a fan of this when I rode it back in 2019 with the buzz bars. Still think Phoenix is a better PTC. Didn't ride it with the downgraded PTC trains this year. I thought it was underrated from 2019-2023 with the old buzz bars. I know airtime thrills thought it was underrated too.

@@808CoasterLife yeah. I am kind of scared when I ride woodies with buzz bars. I've been on three with buzz bars. The first one was this, the second was Phoenix at Knoebels, and the third was the skyline at Lakemont Park.

Skyrush is probably the better ride but it was closed when I went :/
